Dec 8th is my only date to see Disneyland.
Is it possible to see World of Color, Fireworks, and Fantasmic in one night?

Option 1. I could go to World of Color first at 9:00 pm , but then I only have 5 minutes to get to the Fireworks at 9:30pm. Not going to make it? But, I will have plenty of time for the 10:30pm Fantasmic show.

Option 2. If I go to the Fantasmic show, I can then see the fireworks at 9:30pm. I then have enough time to make the 10:15pm World of Color Show?
However, I need a Fast Pass for World of Color? When do I time it right to get it for the late show?

Is this pushing it too much?

To see WOC you will need to get there early, early. I would go see WOC, watch the fireworks as you are walking to Fantasmic- but go straight there- do not lollygag or you will not find a spot- and on a Saturday it is iffy anyway. I haven't been to the new WOC show but from what everyone is saying you will not have time to get there in time for a spot if you go that last. For less stress- just skip Fantasmic and see it next time you are in town...

Most people do use a FP to view WoC - however, you don't need one if you view WoC from other areas - such as the bridge leading to Ariel's Grotto.

Is this a good place to view the show? Should people get there plenty early?

I watched WOC in the area between the entrace of Ariel's Grotto and the Paradise Pier sign. I got there around 715pm on Saturday and the place did not get filled until 730pm. The view was great as I was standing by the white railing. But some images on the water screen was blurry. I am not picky cuz I thought I would not get to see the show that night. So I am very happy. I bet the view from the bridge would be better.

To leave the area, we walked towards The Little Mermaid ride and along the Grizzly River Run as most of the crowd walked towards the Carsland. That path was not packed and would give you a quicker way out of the DCA to get to DLR for Fantasmics and Fireworks.

Personally, I'd skip WoC and do fireworks and then Fantasmic. We found WoC to be exceedingly lame and definitely not worth the price we paid for the meal deal.

and btw my answer was based you just you- a single person, not a family or toddlers or strollers, if that is the case I would pick one park or the other

We viewed WOC from the yellow fastpass section. The view was really bad. The following night we viewed from the exit of Mid-way mania. Although in reverse the view was great...and the icing was we didn't wait at all. We just happened to be exiting the ride when the show started.

IMHO if you need to skip one of the 3 skip WOC. We have been to Disneyland several times since the debut and had never caught the show we finally made the effort this last trip. We walked away uninspired. We would never think of missing Fantasmic on any trip to Disneyland (very entertaining and inspirational) The fireworks inmo are even better then WOC.

Thanks to all who responded.

There were two No votes for the World of Color even being worth the effort.
So, I guess I'll save the hassle and stay in Disneyland for the night.
I'll see what I need to see in California Adventure during the day and then leave.

I agree with the above post that WOC is not as interesting in comparison to Fantasmic.

We viewed it on the back side of the paradise pier bridge on Sunday night and actually lucked out with an ok view but it was hard for me to imagine that it was ZOMG do much more fantasmic ;) with "paid" meal FP.

Maybe running to get a FP in the morning, but not something I would personally go out of my way for and limit what I might be in the mood for dining wise. That's me though.

DD 1 enjoyed it on the back of Daddy's shoulders though.

I agree with those saying WOC is skip able if you have only one day. I like the show but it's not fun crowding into a terrible viewing area and having to stand through it after a long day in the parks. we are going for 4 days in Jan and WOC is off our list of things to do/ see. DW was very relieved when I said I was ok with skipping WOC this trip.

I think WOC is the most awesome Disney show anywhere. However...it takes too much time for a day trip. Same thing for a 1st Fantasmic show. Skip WOC on a day trip. See a second F! show if they have it. Good luck!

Agree and agree! Best show, but also can take a chunk of time to see. Skip for a day trip, but in my opinion it is better than F! and fireworks. Of course, everyone has their own opinion. :)

There is a bonus to Fantasmic on a short trip. Chances are your family will not have a chance to meet many characters in a one day trip but if they see Fantasmic almost all of them are in the show at least the main ones.

Why the hate on WOC? I agree whole heartedly with Hydroguy's assessment that much of one's feelings about the show relate directly to how good or poor a viewing spot one has. We (well, me as I let the rest of the fam go riding) stood in line at 6:45 for the 9pm show and got one of the best spots from which to see the show. We liked it very much, but could tell that our enjoyment would have diminished greatly had we not been able to see so well.

We visited last month for three days and saw WOC and F! both for the first time. Our F! viewing spot didn't allow for the best fireworks view though as you miss the lower effects around the castle. That said, if I had one, and only one, day at the parks, I'd leave WOC for your next trip. Waiting for a good spot for hours doesn't have as much pay off as much with WOC as it does with F!

You can make it happen because I did when I did a SOLO trip. If your with your family it will be alot harder, if your alone then it's very possible.

I would do WOC first and get the blue section and look up the fire hydrant spot on here. It's at the top right behind the VIP seating and a perfect view and then you are able to leave right at the end and book it over to DL and if you get up on the train platform you can view the fireworks, you won't see everything that happens on the castle unless you have a zoom camera or something like that but a great view of the fireworks. I could even see Tinkerbelle so it is possible. After fireworks head to Fantasmic and find a spot and enjoy the show.
You could do it in the reverse as well but you won't get as good of view of the fireworks from the Fantasmic area.

I was also going to say My whole family will be there that day. We are coming Dec 1-10. I love WOC and could see it every night!! I've seen it from at least 7 different spots just to try them out and the green fire hydrant is a great spot when you want to leave early and get there late. Most people pass it for a closer view.

I've been lucky I think the two times I have seen F!. Had very good viewing area both times and waited no more than an hour each time. first time we happened upon a spot right About 20 minutes before the show and where right by the rail.

In may we started looking for a spot an hour before show time and after walking the length of the viewing area once we headed back for a second try and found a great spot right behind one of the desert seating areas and again at a rail.

As for WOC the waiting is what I hate the most. I can't stand sitting on the ground (esspecially cement ) for very long and don't want to stand there doing nothing for a couple hours so it gets to be very miserable even before the show actually starts. Last time the show felt like it went on forever and I couldn't wait for it to end because I was so miserable from waiting so long. I tried to follow the tips from these forums but still couldn't find a good viewing spot. we went to the viewing area early and the CMs told us we had to come back later and that they weren't letting anyone in or line up until such and such time. we came back about 15 minutes before that time and the viewing area was packed already. So adding that to the wait made things worse.

I do like the show but I don't love it and probably won't watch it again until they allow or supply chairs or seating of some kind. And since that likely wont happen I may skip it all the time from now on. just not worth it for me.
