Would it be possible to book a room for our first night and not arrive until very early the next morning? In other words, do you have to arrive by a certain time at night? If our travel plans are such that we arrive in WDW very early in the am say around 7am, would we be able to get right into our room if we had included that night before in our reservation. We usually drive overnight and DH would love to be able to get right into our room when we arrive. I would think that as long as I was paying (using points) for it, it wouldn't matter what time I arrived. I know some folks would see it as a waste but if we wanted to do it, could we? We have done something like this on the end of our trip where we have booked for our departure day/night knowing that we'd be leaving to head home at 7 or 8 PM but we like that we have the room for that whole last day. Possible to do this for arrival?

I'm pretty sure that you are fine doing this. I think the rule is that you have to check in within 24 hours of your reservation. Maybe someone else has the exact rule or knows for sure...

I think they only hold the room until about 7am. If you are not checked in by then, they may consider you a no-show. You could call them and tell them you are delayed, but are still planning on arriving that morning. I would try to get there before 7am though.

I haven't done it, but did ask MS and that fact would be noted on the reservation. It was suggested that we call to tell the resort that we won't be there for the night. The 7 AM time was not mentioned to us. We were considering it for a VB stay, but what we did was get later flights out.
