is this possible?

now that MK closing time has been moved back to 10pm the second week of August, i'm a little worried about my first night itinerary.

Do you think this is possible for Day 1? You can be realistic. You won't hurt my feelings. ;)

4:25 -- arrive at MCO and meet town car (carry on, so no luggage pickup)
5:00 -- arrive at hotel and drop bags (mom will have already checked us in)
5:30 -- catch bus to MK
6:00 -- arrive MK
am i already in the realm of impossible here? getting to MK less than 2 hours after touchdown?
6:30 -- ride PIRATES, THUNDER, SPLASH
9:00 -- grab some counterservice and stake out a Wishes viewing spot
I really want to ride the new Pirates first thing in the world, but if Thunder and Splash are impossible, I've scheduled them again later in the trip. I'm just basically wondering what kind of a headstart we can get on the rides that first night.
Thoughts? not possible? can i be doing even more? also... suggestions for Wishes watching???

I don't think doing what you want at MK is outside the realm of possibility, but I think an arrival at MCO at 4:25 with an arrival at MK at 6pm is going to be really tight. And that's assuming that there aren't any delays with your flight. But I hope it works out for you!

Remember that afternoon thunderstorms in August are the rule rather than the exception. Thunderstorms lead to flight delays. Even if your flight actually arrives at the gate at 4:25 you have to figure it will be at least another 10-15 minutes before you are sitting in the town car on the way to your hotel, so a 5:00 arrival at the hotel is a little optimistic, I think.

I don't think it is likely that you will arrive at MCO @4:25 and be at the resort by 5:00. We always allow about 1.5 hours from landing to arriving at the resort. Is your flight actually arriving @ 4:25?? If so, you need to add in at least 15 minutes before you are even off the plane. My guesstimate would be arrival at the MK by 7:00. Still plenty of time to do what you want! Have a blast! :goodvibes

I think the other posters are right...expecting to be at the hotel 35 minutes after your scheduled flight arrival is rather unlikely. I'd plan at least a minimum of an hour from the anticipated flight arrival time to the hotel, especially based on the size of MKO and the tram system you have to take from the gates to the main entrance. But Hey, anything's possible! :thumbsup2

I tried a new and interesting spot for Wishes last week. In fantasyland, by Dumbo. You have one set of fireworks going off closer to the castle (just the flare-like ones) and then the big boys go off in tune town. Not crowded there at all, but I did miss Tink. If you've seen Wishes before, not a bad spot. If it is your first time, you'll want to go on main street or the bridge to tomorrowland.

Wait times last week at night - Pirates 40 mins; Splash 60 mins; BTM 40 mins.
