Is this possible? Park hopping question...

Just looking at my itinerary and realize there is only one day we are definitely Park Hopping. It hadn't occured to me not to get a PH tix to b/c we usually end up moving around. But with the parks close so early when we go, and we seem to have dinner plans mostly at resorts.

So here is the question. We are going 7 days. Instead of buying a PH ticket (an extra $40 per tix), can we just buy another day (ie, an 8 day ticket) for a difference of $2 per ticket and count the evening as a "new day"? Does that make sense? It seems to be much cheaper - $6 more rather than $120 for the three of us! Has anyone heard of this being done? It seems too easy so I feel like somehow this must not work... Anyone have any idea? From my understanding, you aren't able to do what you are wanting to do. Once you leave a park, if you don't have park hopping on your ticket, you will not be able to go into another park on that same day.

No, that does not work. You still need a park hopping ticket to do this. If not, the ticket will be rejected at the second park.

From allearsnet.com faq section on tickets:

Am I allowed to use two days off of my MYW Base ticket (non-hopping) if I decide I want to go to a second park on the same day as the first?

No you are not. The tickets are sold and the computer system is based on the number of days you have, not the number of park visits. Once you have used a non-park hopping ticket at any park, the computer system will not let you use it at another park on the same day.

Thank you! I knew that was way too easy! Ok, so now I just need to figure out how much park hopping I want to do and if it is worth it to get a PH ticket.
