Is this possible at AK?

If we get an 8am ADR at Tusker house for a 9am park open day. Is it possible to get all this done by 12 and then see the Lion King show?

8am Tusker house
Safari
Expedition everest
Dinosaur
Tricera top spin
Possibly see a few characters if we happen to pass them at the right times
Maybe flights of wonder
12:00 Lion King

Is that way to much to try and do in 3 hours without any fast passes. Let me add we are going in September with lower crowds the 9-18th. We will be at AK on a Monday I'm pretty sure as long as that ends up being the most recommend park to go to that day. We are going to Epcot later that day and I want to use our Fast Passes there.

Here are my time estimates --

9:20 Safari
10:05 Everest
10:40 Dinosaur
11:05 Triceratop

Yep, I think you can get those done in time for 12:00 Lion King show. But I don't think you can make the 10:45 Flights of Wonder show, and of course the 11:45 Flights show wouldn't work.

Ok thanks! I just figured the 12 lion king was best because we will be heading over to Epcot for the later part of the day. But seeing were driving our own car and it wont take very long to drive from AK to Epcot maybe we could push Lion king back to the next show at 1:00. Then just leave straight after that.

With an 8am open in December I've done this with no fastpasses...

Dinosaur child swap
Triceratop spin 4x
Everest child swap
safari
sat down and ate a snack
10am lion king
10:45 flights of wonder.

Id look to move the tusker to an early lunch or late breakfast and visit on an EMH AM day.

With a 9am open, I'd not do the pre park, Id look for a late breakfast or early lunch. I like to enjoy my character meals and I don't when I sit there thinking about getting in the park. You are going to waste at least some time at rope drop (the best touring time), if they open the gates early, even more time. I've done 2 pre park character meals and I wont do them anymore, the whole time I'm thinking "what time is it?"

I prefer the no fastpass EMH am with a late breakfast for in park character breakfasts. We can work up an appetite touring for 2 or 2.5 hours then enjoy the character meal experience at a relaxed pace. JMO

My only issue with this is I don't know if we'd want to stop our touring to eat mid morning. I figured with the Tusker 8am we could be done and then go straight into Safari hopefully with little wait (hoping we get out of Tusker around 9) then just make our way around towards Everest and back around to end in Lion king. If we didn't do the ADR and went at 8am wouldn't we still want to do Safari first? Or is there not as many people racing up there at 8am as opposed to 9am mornings?

I would do Lion King right after Tusker House and Safari. You're doing too much 'army walk' (left, right, left right). You want to get to the rides/attractions that are next to each other. Walking from Safari to everest then to Dinosaur is going to take 20 minutes with crowds, strollers and wheelchairs. I was just at AK last week (late Jan) and it was busy, even though for disney standards it wasn't. And my wife and I walk fast because we used to live in Manhattan.

Well that was my first plan to do ADR at Tusker then go straight to Safari then Lion King BUT I was worried that the lines for EE would be super long if we waited till after the show. But if we go on a the most recommend day at AK and its in Sept I feel like it might be ok and we wont wait to long? We are using our FP that day for Epcot later. I def feel like doing that order makes the most sense.

Yes... so funny. We did almost the same exact thing (week right before Christmas... maybe around Dec. 22nd).
We had an 8:10 Tusker House. Then did the following (none to minimal waits)

- Safari
- Dinosaur
- Triceratop Spin
- Kali River Rapids

Done by 11:00 or little before.

We didn't do Everest but I would say that might be the ride with more wait time than the others? It didn't feel really crowded when we were there in the A.M. I think you can do all that and catch 12 Lion King. Not sure how you'd fit flights of wonder unless can do it after Lion King? We've done both shows other days ... so didn't do it this time around.
September sounds like a lovely time to go with minimal waits anyway.
Have fun!

We went December 2014 the second week of the month. We had totally manageable crowds everyday but the day we were at AK which was Saturday our last day. It was a mob scene in most areas. But I think because it was getting to be closer to the middle of the month and Saturday. I was surprised how busy it was. But I don't think we need a full day there at all. I just don't know the best approach without using my Fast passes there.

Just a thought, why not grab a fast pass? I see that you said you were saving them all for Epcot, but why?

Get fast passes for your must do rides on your first day at Epcot and then I am sure that going across in the morning, from AK you would find some fast passes still available.

With the fast pass you can modify the time after making your initial selection and it giving you some results. I do this with all of ours and put the 3 as close together as I can and then keep topping up with new ones, throughout the day.

Other thought is to avoid weekends and as others have said/demonstrated, it should all be possible, especially if you are a little flexible in show times!

ooops sorry... don't know how to use the quote thing.... ignore my message above.
Yes... I think we went to AK on a weekday. That does make a difference. We used FP at night in Epcot, for before and after our dinner ressies.

We also didn't feel like we needed a full day. It was the first time I strayed from my usual planning and didn't do FP in morning park.

Yes. We've done all of that on an EMH morning during busy President's week with no FP+. Park opened at 8 and we had a 10:30 Tusker House so we did it in 2.5 hours. Use the single rider for Everest if you can and ride multiple times pretty much as a walk on.

Well with the tiering at Epcot I don't want to bank on getting on rides without a fast pass so I want to use them there. We will want to do Soarin, Test track and the new Frozen ride. So our first Epcot day we will go straight to Soarin at RD ( I do not want to deal with the rush to TT) then save our FP for TT later that day and then the evening we go we can use our FP for Frozen. i doubt if I tried and waited to get a 4th fro Frozen we wouldn't it being new and all.

Ok! Hadn't thought about the new Frozen ride being ready.......a great thought and one to bear in mind.
