Is this plant toxic?

Hi, I watched Primetime last night on ABC and this plant looks like the one that caused the Dr to hallucinate and feel really ill. She had toxic poisioning.
I don't know the name of the plant as my sister gave it to my husband to plant and he doesn't remember the name.
Can you help?

I believe that is a Datura. I didn't see the show last night but do a google search and see what you can find out about it.

Looks like Datura, or possibly Brugmansia (same family). Both deadly. Datura flowers point more upwards, Brugmansia dangle down. Make sure the children go nowhere near it, and be somewhat careful yourself in handling it. I've never had a problem with planting and pulling them up, but ingesting causes hallucinations, heart racing, and often death. The Dr. on the show was extremely lucky she didn't ingest more of the plant (she had it in with her lettuce...doctor, huh?)

Thanks for the info! The boys have been told not to touch it. I also told my 75 yr old father today not to touch it as well.
I didn't hear how the Dr. ingested it, I guess I missed that part. Silly women!
