Is This Pin Code a Good Deal?

Wow, Am I rusty from a year ago. I was a planning mainiac a year ago in preparation for our dream trip which took place in Jan of 09. I'm so rusty that I placed this post in the wrong place . But I would love some feedback about this offer I received. Disney sends me a Pin Code for Jan/Feb 2010, 40% off Deluxe/Villas resorts, room only! I also see that my Disney rewards Visa is offering what looks like the same offer. So did I receive something valuable or not? I can't tell. Is it an offer that should not be refused? Last year I did not receive a Pin but got a good deal on the buy 4 get three free deal and stayed at the WL. Need some input from the Disney experts who are not as rusty as I am. Thanks

It sounds like the same Visa offer, except your offer may include dates the Visa doesn't have. Still, its good to get a pin - which means you are on somebody's list!!!

I used the same pin code, it was much better than the 4/3 deal, I got another $100 off. So this is a good deal

I think it really depends, and you have to run the math. For us, staying at WL in early Jan, the 4/3 deal was better....about 43% discount..including MYW and DDP. The PIN I received was 40% off, so that deal was just a smidge worse.

We booked CR with the 40% off pin for 8 nights and it was a better deal for us. The 4/3 deal would have been about 36% off. Overall, this pin saved us about $1100 off rack rate.

The buy 4 get 3 free deal is slightly better. The pin you got is however an awesome deal. You should book at the 40% and if the 4/3 deal is extended you can always switch to that (provided rooms are available). Good luck with your planning.

4/3 is best if you're going for exactly 7 nights and need to purchase tickets. If you're going more (like Amy1976) or less than 7 nights 40% off is better.

I had AKL CL booked at 4/3 deal but switch to 40% off when it came out. I was paying $200/night under 4/3 and am now paying $210/night but don't need to buy $465 worth of tickets for me & DD(6)-we have APs.
