Just out of curiosity does anyone know what Disney's answer to this would be, what is yours...

We are going to Universal Sunday morning (we live local), then heading to WDW for the afternoon/evening. We plan on getting to DTD around 4pm or so, taking the bus (we have SP's) to MK to pick up a B-Day button for DNiece then going to EPCOT to do the same, return to DTD for dinner and then PI, is it ok to park at DTD if your not ONLY going to DTD? It's not like we are parking there at 9 and going to MK all day or anything, just a quick trip over to pick up button and maybe a park pin for her lanyard. We are eating in DTD and going to PI that night so I hate to park at MK for only 45 minutes time....

Please no flames, we will pay to park if we have to, just was curious because this would be so much more easier than moving the car around all day.

I have never done it at DTD, but have at most parks. You are going to eat at DTD and go to PI later- so that is where you need your car to be at the end of the night. Doesn't seem like it should be much of an issue :) You are plunking down plenty of $$ at DTD that day- don't worry about it :)

I'm sure they wont stop you, but they probably wont really like it... I really don't know. sorry::MickeyMo

From what I remember, there are no theme park busses from DTD anymore. I think you would have to transfer at a resort first.

I think Jen may be correct. If so, the reason they stopped the park buses from DTD was for just this reason. People would park there for free and ride the bus to avoid paying for parking. People used to do the same thing by parking at a Disney hotel and riding the buses. That was before there were security booths at every resort.

Personally, I wouldn't flame you for doing this, but Disney wouldn't approve.

I know, I'd have to transfer at Contemporary or another hotel. I am only going to pick up a pin and then heading for dinner in DTD, thats why I can't see paying to park but more so for the hassle of moving the car around.

There is no MK bus from DTD. You'd have to take a bus to a resort and then switch. I don't think they'd stop you and I personally don't think it's a big deal, since you're only going for a few hours.

But to tell the truth, you're going to likely spend a lot of time on busses because you'll need to switch. With so little time that evening anyway, you may really want to consider driving. To save time and have more MK time if nothing else. :)

Enjoy!

Downtown Disney also has their own birthday button. You can pick it up at the Guest Relations windows on the West Side or at the lobby in the Marketplace.

Thanks SS, we wanted to get the whole collection for her, any other places have buttons? Do the hotels?
