Is this ok to do at the airport???

We have a ride to the airport but when we return, we will be arriving rather late. We thought we would have friends leave our car in the airport parking lot for us so it would be there when we get back. Considering all of the problems going on in the world, do you think our friends would have a hard time leaving the car in the lot? Would anyone stop them for "questioning..."
Is this ok to do???

I have done this before and can't see any problem with it. It's nice to avoid that parking fee if you can.

I'm not familiar with the specific policies on this, but it just strikes me as the kind of thing that security people would be looking for. Think about it: two cars enter the lot, one parks and its occupant(s) get into another vehicle and leave, or one car enters the lot and its occupant(s) exit the car and walk to the terminal, where they get into another care and leave. Chances are pretty good that they wouldn't notice it, but I imagine it would be a pretty big hassle if they did. Your friends could be pulled over and questioned or your car could be forceably opened and searched. Probably less of a problem if you park in a long-term lot vs. one near the terminal.

There are so many people parking in the airport lots they wouldn't notice. Usually where you go in is not where you go out so they wouldn't know that you drove two cars in and only one out. In fact you could have the one car circle the lot while the other car is parked in the lot and then meet the person at the terminal.

Be sure (A) your friends leave the ticket in the car. Otherwise getting out could be an adventure (B) you have a set of car keys.

It is not a TSA issue since they forbid parking within a certain distance of the airport.

I assume you are flying out of Manchester. We have done this several times there with no problems. I had my dad leave a message on our cell phone so I could easily find the car when we arrived. As long as the car is being dropped off that day, just park in the short term parking lot that is directly across from the doors. Make sure you bring a set of keys!
