Is this normal?

We took our first trip to Disney World this year. We were there in mid-April (a time dictated by my husband’s work conference) and I was very surprised by the weather. With the exception of mid-day the heat felt very manageable ( high 80s to low 90s) and there was usually a nice breeze blowing. Besides 1 rainy day, the humidity also felt very low. This made for great vacation weather.

The reason I’m questioning if this is normal is because we live in West Virginia and we had an usually cold spring this year. The temp for April for us is always in the high 70s. When we left for Disney it was in the low 50s.

So was the weather in Florida this April normal or were they having a “cold” spring?

We were there 4/4 - 4/15 and that’s pretty much the weather we get in April. We think it’s perfect. It’s just so lovely, especially coming from CT.

I've been twice around mid April and both times weather was beautiful. Little to no rain and a very nice temp with just a touch of a breeze to keep the humidity from being overwhelming.

That's typical for Spring in Orlando. Summer, starting with May, and sometimes going through early November isn't like that. It's much warmer and more humid.

That's what it's been like for us in our early May trips. The first year several people in FL told us that 90's were unseasonably warm. But we've had 90s all three years. But definitely not humid or at least not that it felt humid to me. The amount of rain has varied as rain has a tendency to do.

We always go around our Anniversary, with is 4/22. Weather this year was the same as it always is

The heat starts getting worse in May and by late May the humidity and rain really start kicking in.In April if it gets hot the humidity is not bad like it is in summer so its much more tolerable.Right now its been raining pretty much daily as the rainy season seems to have come a few weeks early,with the rain and clouds the temps have not been getting that hot but the humidity is getting bad,basically 85 degrees with bad humidity feels worse than 90 degrees with lower humidity.The rain we've been getting lately is weird in the sense that its been off and on most of the day.The typical summer pattern is a sunny morning,by noon it feels like a pizza oven,93-97 degrees with bad humidity making it feel like 110-115 and this heat brings the clouds which by 2-3pm are dark and scary,soon afterwards the rain and thunderstorms come,they may be brief or last a couple of hours,it can rain at night but its less common than the afternoon.Winter and Spring are generally very pleasant,it can rain but overall its the dry time of year,April included,it can start to get pretty warm but lower humidity and dry days make for a nice time of year.
