Is this normal for waitlisted reservations?

We were booked at BWV Sun-Thur & Fri-Sat. We had to waitlist Thurs night. The waitlist came through and our confirmation now lists 3 different segments, but all with the same reservation #. Is that how reservations are normally listed when a waitlist for the middle of a stay comes through?

Listing the reservatons this way is part of the system upgrade from last October. Segmenting is what also gives DVCers the ability to add a Dining Plan to only part of their stay.

That's right, that's how it is listed now since the upgrade. The reservation number is called the travel plan. In the past, it would be listed as 3 reservations with 3 different reservation numbers and they need to be "linked" together so you have the same room for the entire stay. Now they are listed under the same travel plan so they are like automatically linked together, but you will see 3 separate segments in the confirmation e-mail.

As Chuck pointed out, this also gives you the added benefit of adding dining plan for any of the segments. Or you can choose a different dining plan for each segment (e.g. dining plan for Sun-Thu, no dining plan for Thu-Fri, deluxe dining plan for Fri-Sat).

Our recent stay was like that from having a waitlist in the middle and we had to go and get new KTTW cards at the start of each part too. It was easy, but still kind of a pain.

Thanks for clarifying everyone! I feel much better now :goodvibes

We may be adding the DDP or different types of the DDP for parts of our stay, but not in the same configuration of our current segments, so does that mean that our confirmation would show more segments than it currently shows (4 per the example below)?

Example
Sun-Tues - QSDP (or no DDP)
Tues-Wed - DDP
Wed-Thurs - QSDP (or no DDP)
Thurs-Sat - DDP
