I just booked the free dining deal with 9 nights at the Poly and 6 day passes with w/p and park hopper~Me & DH, and my sons 13, 10 and 4. The total came to $4596.22.

We definitely want to stay at the Poly but was this the best way to book it? :confused3

P.S.~ the CM told me it was the last of the Garden view rooms for this package during my dates for the Poly. I found that hard to believe that I could be so lucky. She said that they are limiting the offer.

what dates hav eyou booked at this rate? Can you fit all 5 of you in there? We have 6 so have to get suite- now free dp, or 2 rooms- much more $$ UGH!

Yes rooms are limited. You would have to be flexible for your dates and your accomodations. So it is possible you did get the last one for your dates.

Unless you have AAA or want to try to do everything ala carte then what you did is the best way to book it. If you did book ala carte (meaning everything individually) then you would have to pay for your meals.

We went down last year and while I had an AP, I didn't take advantage of the free dining but my father did and they saved a boat load with the free dining.

A lot of the deluxe rooms can fit 5 to a room.

For dates of 8/15-20...before DDP offer came out, I was quoted AAA rate of 267 Poly GV...297 incl tax. Just a quick run thru, but based on that,
9 nights room only AAA rate would be $2673.
DDP roughly $1368 for 4 adults/9 nights...$100 for 4 year old...totalling FOOD AND RESORT @$4141.
TicketMania lists adult w/p 6 day hopper @ 242 (inc tax)per adult..$968
child $205
totallinG TIX,FOOD RESORT at:
$5314
Based on those numbers looks like the package saves you roughly $718.
However...run through it yourself, see if you would find lower eating costs, cheaper tix, maybe an AP is the way to go for one and then get a better discount on the room vs. AAA.....
But so far, looks better to go with the DDP promo. However, you will risk losing 200 if you need to cancel , unless you take out trip insurance which is 120...risk the 80 overall difference, or bury the ins into your savings , lowering it to $580...still good.

I would just like to add a suggestion. I would get the 10 day ticket to give you greater flexibility as to where you spend your free dining credits. The few extra dollars per person will greatly add to the choices (think Epcot) of where you have your evening meal!

We are trying to work this out as well. I don't think the free dining offer is the greatest if you are staying in a deluxe- it seems great for values though.
Are dates are a little later then yours, we found this though-
