Is this Meal Plan Logical?

I had originally scheduled Boma for 4:45 on a night we were planning on going to MVMCP (12/16). I'm concerned that we will not have a lot of time before the party as normally I would have gone about 4:30 (we were originally booked for Liberty Tree Tavern but I heard really good things about Boma). I didn't know that at that hour and time of year would be be able to get out and be to the MK sometime between 6:15 and 6:30. Our AK day is also our Tusker House Breakfast day (8:15). If I can get it, I'm considering going that evening to Boma instead since it is right there. I don't want to exhust the kids, so even though its a hike (we are renting a car), we might go back to the POFQ and then come back for dinner. Or we might just explore the resort as I heard its terrific. Any thoughts?

I would shift Boma to the AK day. I don't know how old your kids are or what their stamina is like, but you can pretty much do the main things at AK without staying until closing so you could either go back to POFQ for a freshen up or go straight to Boma depending on the time of your ressie and your energy levels and then head to the resort for an early night.

I just think that when you buy a party ticket you want to get in at a reasonable hour to enjoy the evening. Even more so if your children are not likely to make it to the end of the night.

We always do Boma on our AK day, even though we rent a car it's just to convienent. Since you can enter the park at 4:00 with the MVMCP ticket, I would go back to your original plan, or eat very close by at MK resort restaurant.

I wouldn't do it before MVMCP. I'd estimate get to MK after dinner around 6:45 - which yes, still in time for the party. I know we like to get there a little earlier and get some rides in before seeing characters out for the party and party-specific stuff.

I'd also vote to move Boma to your AK day. Boma is one of our favorites - top 3 for sure - so we never miss it, but we plan our dinner night there carefully because our experience with the bus service there hasn't been the best. Personally, I'd be worried about the travel time from dinner to MNSSHP.

Thanks everyone! It's what I was feeling. I'm trying to plan long days alternating with shorter days and I didn't want this to be another long day, but if I can get an earlier time, I don't think it will be.

Just switched days and also got a nice early time of 4:35 on 12/12. This also gives us some time to explore the AKL. I definately want to get into MK earlier for the MVMCP. CS is probably what we will do for that day. We have no meal plan, but I wanted to try some TS meals and I've heard so many good things about Boma!

Definitely shift Boma to AK day. But, here's a suggestion: Instead of going first thing in the morning, considering going later and taking their last breakfast seating. That should be at roughly 10:30ish. Your breakfast will finish between 11:30 and 12, and then you can view the park from 12-3:30ish. Then take the earliest dinner seating at Boma, which is 4:30.

Unless your kids are serious animal enthusiasts, you probably don't need more than about 4 hours at the park. That way you're getting in both restaurants and not wearing your kids out.
