SIL wants to come down with us and is trying to pull something out of a hat to make it happen. She doesn't have much money to spend and decided to go with this http://orlando.craigslist.org/vac/1162542175.html to book her vacation. She's asking me for advice on it but I have no clue. I bought my tickets through UT and we're using our Wyndham points. I never got no vacation deals through craigslist.

I think this is a timeshare tour from the sounds of it. If she doesn't mind sitting through a 3 hr tour then go for it.

I would think at the very best this is a time share presentation. Tell your sis to run, not walk away from these deals.

I feel the same way dont touch it. I lived in Orlando all my life and for a five star hotel like that to be real you will have to pay some big bucks..yea tell her to stay clear of it.

It does look like a timeshare presentation. There are tons of them for the WDW area. Many involve more-than-2-hour presentations with high-pressure sales tactics. It's not the best way to spend your vacation time but some people are able to handle it with no problems.

If going the the timeshare presentation route is the only way that she's going to be able to afford WDW with you, then I suggest researching what's available out there and finding one that will keep to their 2-hour limit and has a reputation for not using strong-arm tactics to get you to sign.

It tells you about the presentation and how much money you need to qualify, etc. If I made enough, I might bite. I can't afford to buy a timeshare and couldn't/wouldn't agree to it. If you build an extra day into your vacation, it wouldn't be a big deal for what you get.

You go, sit in the meeting, maybe find out something useful, when it is over, excuse yourself and have them send you all the information. It is only sales pressure when you stop saying no thank you. Show some interest and let them know you really can not afford it right now, but to keep you in mind for future purchase.

Then leave the sucmbag wolves and meet up with your sister and have a great vacation.

I'm always leery of misspelled words within advertisements. There is no apostrophe S on words unless it's a contraction or it means possession. It probably is a timeshare situation....run the other way. Even with the economy, these sharks can arrange purchases as long as you have a job and a checking account. Once you agree to direct withdrawal, you cannot stop the withdrawals because you've signed a contract. In order to stop the withdrawals, you have to close the account. Ask me how I know...we've been paying for a Sheraton Vistana Village purchase for seven years....biggest mistake of my life. The resale of these purchases is almost impossible!!
