Is this inappropriate for a bumper sticker?

Would you think it was inappropriate for a parent to sit in the carpool line every day at an elementary/middle school with a bumper sticker on their car that contained the phrase "I tried to think like BLANK (don't want to predjudice the discussion) but I couldn't get my head far enough up my butt"?

I'm having a problem with the phrase "head up my butt" being an appropriate example for children.

Not that I can do anything about it - I'm just wondering if what I think is an appropriate example for a parent in the school to set for children is in line with what other people would think.

I think it's better than "head up my ***"

I'm sure most of the middle schoolers wouldn't give that phrase a second thought, and I suspect a lot of the older elementary kids wouldn't either. The younger ones might give it a giggle. Not in the best of taste, but not overly offensive either.

Tacky to put a bumper sticker like that on your car, but I don't find it innapropriate at all.

I think some people are far too sensitive.

If I had "Flying Monkey Butts" on a bumper sticker on my car, would that be inappropriate? I think it would be funny as heck, because it makes zero sense.

I see nothing wrong with someone putting a political statement on their car, no matter how offensive it may seem to someone and no matter who may read it. I find alot of bumper stickers offensive or disturbing. I just don't like bumper stickers, I did when I was a kid though, but you won't find one on my car anymore.

It may be a great teaching/learning moment if any of your children have a comment or question about it. Someone might teach about freedom of speech and the consequences and responsibility exercising those rights. Someone might teach about adults being able to use such "language" and why it may or may not seem appropriate to you. The lesson I would teach is about trashing a perfectly good car. :teeth: LOL!

Kinda tacky, but not inappropriate. I wouldn't want my son's teacher to wear it on a t-shirt, but it's fine on a car, no matter where the car is.

nah - nothing wrong with that - if it used the other word instead of butt - I might think differently as far as kids seeing it.....but not that big of a deal.....

Who cares? I have far to many other things going on in my life to care whats on someone elses bumper. Sure its tacky. But I have seen worst. People can put whatever they want on their bumper. And it only says butt. I agree with the previous poster who said people are far to sensitive.

Not something I'd have on mine, but I have no problem with it on others.

I think its fine. My co-worker has the same one. The first time I saw it I just giggled to myself.

No, I don't think it is inappropriate. I have yet to be offended by a bumper sticker.

Haven't read the whole thread, so I don't know if this has been said:

Gee, let me guess: "BLANK" is probably Bush! :rotfl2:

That parent's bumpersticker and what kind of "role model" they are to anyone is none of your business, IMHO.

Probably as inappropriate as my husband driving his car to mass with vanity plates that read GREEDE1. :lmao:

I have a child in both the elementary and middle school and I can assure you they wouldnt notice a bumper sticker on someone's car in the drop off line...

Having said that, it truly wouldnt bother me if they did notice it. Having ones head up ones **** is an expression. Believe me, I have explained the concept about "its just an expression" many many times. And for the record, its my opinion there are lots of folks walking around with their head stuck way way up where the sun dont shine!!!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
