Is This Going To Be A Problem / Credit Card Deposit

While finalizing details for our March trip, I realized that the credit card I used to pay for the deposit at HRH is one of the accounts I recently closed.

I put the deposit on the credit card back in September and closed the account at the beginning of February. I know in the past when checking in, they wanted the same credit card you used for the deposit.

Will this cause a lot of problems at check-in???

You should be able to work with them. We used one card for the room and one for the charging to the room ability. I would call now and update your cc info with them and explain the situation.....do you have the receipt showing you paid off the balance of the credit card? that may help too. Let us know how things work out

Well I kept a copy of the statement with the amount showing the deposit was paid. I haven't received a copy of the closing statement yet, but it should arrive within a week or so. I'll bring it just in case.

I think I'll try to call them and see what they say.

It should be no problem, they will take any cc to pay the bill.

O.K. I have nothing to worry about. I called the HRH and they said their policy has changed and they no longer require the credit card you put your deposit on. So I can use any card .
