Is this dress too fancy for dinner?

Wear it with confidence (which shouldn't be difficult given how lovely you look in the dress) and enjoy yourself. Perhaps no one else will be that dressed up but I guarantee you that everyone will look at you admiringly. If I were eating at Citico's when you were, you'd definitely put an appreciative smile on my face.

fyi - the dress does resemble a wedding dress alot so you might have a hard time getting into the wdw themeparks in it after or before dinner as disney doesnt allow wedding dresses in the parks unless your a ftw bride hosting an event.[/QUOTE]

Could someone please explain about not being able to "dress up" in the parks? Why does disney not allow it? I'm just wondering cause I wanted to dress my girl up in a gorgous dress that I seen and they wanted to wear it for CRT for Dinner. Mind you...these dresses that I have picked out are amazing. So if anyone could let me know if my girls are going to have a hard time walking through Magic Kingdom...please let me know.

Thanks ;)

I'm not too fancy and I've never been to the restaurants but if it makes you feel special and beautiful on a special and beautiful night, then go and be special and beautiful! If others are "looking at you" either they aren't enjoying their own company enough or they are marveling at your beauty! Above all have a great and magical time celebrating at WDW :goodvibes

I agree with those who say--wear it. Whether or not I (or rather, Mrs. Uncleromulus!!) would feel uncomfortable in it isn't really the point. IF YOU are comfortable, then that's that. And has also been said, this is WDW and you'll see just about everything in the way of dress at restaurants. And at the Grand FLoridian especially, such a dress is something they see on a regular basis.

I'm not sure how old your girls are, but WDW does mention in their wedding/vow renewal info that wedding dresses are not permitted into the parks unless you have a Fairytale Wedding and are hosting the event in the park. They discourage others from coming in wearing their wedding attire and using the parks as a backdrop for pictures, etc...... I know another poster mentioned being in the parks in pseudo-wedding attire, but that is supposedly not the rule. I don't know what their definition of "wedding dresses" is, but it is something they have enforced in the past.

Visit the Wedding/Honeymoon board here if you have more questions & the posters there will have plenty of info! :)

If your question is "Will other people look at me funny?" the answer is yes, definitely. There's always someone who will look at you funny. ;) But if your question is "Does this dress look great on me, and should I wear it if I want to?" the answer is also yes, definitely. :teeth: If you're concerned about sticking out, consider moving to V&A's instead.

Wear it, it looks fabulous! A wedding anniversary is a very special occassion (especially the first) and I think if you both want to dress up to make the evening even more special, more power to you. A great marriage is definitely something worth celebrating and I'd want to dress up to. I think you both will have a lovely time. Who cares what everyone else thinks, what does your DH think? The night is about the 2 of you, no one else. Do what makes YOU happy. :goodvibes

I hope your evening is very special, no matter what you decide.
