In the next month my DH and I will be having 3 different get togethers with 3 different sets of people at our house. I'm having some of my family over for dinner one night, it will be probably about 25 people, DH is inviting some people he works for over another night , about 15 people or so and every Christmas we get together with old college friends who are in town for the holidays and it's our turn to host, there are about 20-25 of us including kids. I'm stressing about coming up with menus for 3 different get togethers so I was thinking of just taking one day and making an over abundance of lasagna, baked ziti, meatballs and a couple of other things and freezing them. This way I will have everything done and be able to enjoy spending time with friends rather than in the kitchen but it will also mean having the same menu for all 3 parties. How cheesy is this?

If none of the same people are coming to the 3 parties than I think it is fine.

I agree with the previous poster. Sounds great to me! And those dishes would be perfect with cheese, too, so in that sense it *should* be "cheesy." :goodvibes

Sounds fine to me. Better to enjoy your guests then stress over food! :thumbsup2

Heck no it's not cheesy!! do it. Anything one can do to simplify the Holidays is A-ok in my book!!! Have fun!

How can you make ziti and lasagna thats not cheesy?

Not cheesy at all as long as people aren't invited more than one night!

And, you have a very good cheesy pun in your OP.

Thanks everyone for the vote of confidence, even though it is "cheesy" I am going to do it. My aunt just offered today to make any desserts I need so one more thing I won't have to worry about and DH is going to have catering salads made at his restaurant :) I now just have to figure out how many pans of food to make for so many people!

Sounds great. I would not do Ziti and lasagna though. I think that is too much pasta and really not necessary. I would do a meatless lasagna just in case you have people that will not eat meat, then have side trays of meatballs and sausage, some nice crusty bread, the various salads and maybe a vegetable option.
