Is this a new resort room feature?

I was looking on Disney's site plugging in different options to see what a vacation next year might cost. Well I tried numerous different deluxe resorts and noticed something I've never picked up on before.

In the room descriptions it says this:

"Coffeemaker, microwave and refrigerator are available upon request."

I know coffeemakers and refrigerators are pretty standard, but have the deluxe hotels always had microwaves available? I've never noticed if it said that before, so I wanted to ask has anyone requested a microwave at one of the deluxe resorts and if so what is the extra fee for the microwave?

with a DVC resort there is no extra cost.

with BC I don't think there was an extra charge.

The studios at the DVC locations would have a microwave.

CSR also has coffee makers and fridges in the rooms and has a few microwaves they give out on a first come, first serve basis.

So I guess most of the resorts must be like CSR, with a few microwaves to give out (on a first come basis). Maybe when I decide to book for next year I'll remember to put a microwave as a request and see if we get it.
