Is this a make or break deal?

We've been looking at the Buick Rendezvous and found one we considered buying. However, I just found out that the back just has a vent and the people riding back there can not control it as far as off/on or the vent. Is this a big deal? We have 5 in our family, and of course noone is ever the same temp as mom.

Or should we opt for something like the Pacifica?

I wish my kids couldn't control their temps! They are constantly messing with the buttons and fighting over the temps.

Are you looking at the Rendevous that has 3rd row seating?
If so just know that the 2nd row seat splits in half in the middle and therefore you can not let people into the 3rd row while there is someone sitting in the middle of the 2nd row. We almost bought a Rendevous but needed an suv that we could leave my ds's carseat permanently in the middle of the 2nd row so it wouldn't work for us. We ended up getting an Explorer where the 2nd row seat splits up differently (not in the middle) so we could leave his carseat in and still be able to flip up the one side of the 2nd row bench seat to allow others to acces the 3rd row seat.
