Is this a good Universal Hollywood touring plan?

Going to Universal either Wednesday Feb 18th or Thursday Feb 19th. Havnt nailed the day down yet. Wife and I went there in 2006, we really liked the studio tour and Waterworld. We now have 5 kids ages 7 to 16.

Leave our Disney area hotel about 6 :15 am to get to the gates of Universal about 7:45 ish. Would this work?

Plan is to hit the early hour in Super Nintendo Land.
At 9am go and hit Transformers, then Mummy for those that are brave enough. I anticipate that these will basically be walk ons at this time. Then Jurassic World, this would take us to about 10 am.
We would then go hit Simpsons land, then after that, Harry Potter.
We would have lunch somewhere in that time.
Im guessing this would take us to about 1pm-130pm.
We would then take in the Studio Tour.
Then watch Waterworld.
Check out Minion Land, Secret Life of Pets.
Eat in one of these lands.
Leave about 7pm back to our hotel near Disneyland

Thoughts?

With parking, walking to gates. I would say leave at 5:45 to get there at 7:45. Traffic will be terrible.
The studio tour gets backed up so I would do that earlier if possible, definitely before lunch. And make time to walk through Hogsmead after sunset , it’s so pretty. Our last trip we went to the last showing of waterworld which is by the exit of the park so it was a nice way to end the day

Thanks.

FYI- We are going the 19th and it says Waterworld is closed that day.

do the studio tour early. I learned the hard way doing it just after lunch was a 3 hour wait, holding a 4 year old who was sleeping in my arms almost the entire 3 hours was not fun.

Edit: Nevermind about the express pass.

Transformers and Mummy will be walk-ons at 9 am, but the lines build up quickly. Mummy has a single rider line if you want to get on a bit faster.

By the time you get off the studio tour, most food locations will build up a line, so you might want to eat a larger breakfast. Early entry makes it really easy to get a Toadstool Cafe reservation. I also like Three Broomsticks, which will have a line, but has better food than most quick service locations IMO.

If you're doing Nintendo World early access, it also includes an express pass to the studio tour until 11 am. I would flip Simpson's Land and the studio tour to take advantage. wow, thanks for the tip I didn't know you got an EP for the tour with the early access!
We were planning on doing the early access so this is an added bonus.
Last time, it was a 3 hour wait so I wasn't keen on that wait time again with the kids.

Actually never mind, it doesn't include access anymore. It did back when I went in 2023. Sorry for the confusion. It's still a great thing to buy, not only for the early Nintendo World access but also to put you in the lower lot right at opening time.

3 hours is definitely insane to wait for the studio tour, and it tend to have a smaller line earlier in the day, so I would still consider doing it before lunch.

ah bummer, that would have been a great perk.

Yes, I wouldn't have waited that long but I was with my Aunt who was on her first visit and will likely never be able to go back to the USA so it was a "must do" for her, so we waited...
