Is this a good sign for a future pin code?

In my quest for a PIN code, I have created multiple Disney accounts for myself and my husband using different email addresses. Last week I cleared the cookies on my computer and created yet another account. Since then, I have received an email every 2 days (for a total of 4 emails thus far) from Disney Destinations reminding me about the "magic in your cart." I also received another email with a 5-digit, non-PIN code.

None of my other accounts have received this many emails from Disney, despite having packages in their carts. When I called today to inquire about a PIN, the CM did not mention this particular email address.

For people who have received PIN codes, does this seem like a good sign?

Wondering the same thing? Two account between my husband and I. We've both received same email and have called a few times to see if we have a pin, none yet :( I also go into them both daily and play around with it changing dates and efc. Fingers crossed.

We have 1 account and have received every PIN code for the last 3 years.

Its certainly not a bad sign, but I also wouldn't be packing my bags just yet either. One of the great unsolved mysteries of life, "how are pin codes assigned?"

We were getting them fairly regularly through 2012 and maybe early 2013, but haven't seen one since.

I just got a Disney Destinations email as well, but no pin code offer, also one from Disney Rewards, but again no pin code.

My first thought reading your post is you are asking for problems with the new MDE system when you do actually book a trip.

The system work flawless for us. But we have one account, booked online, booked it right the first time and didn't change a bunch of stuff. A lot of the problems I read on here with MDE is from people who make all kinds of changes, or linking multiple accounts, etc

It's like it confuses the system.

It's a mystery. Really. I get every PIN that comes out, sometimes in my name and sometimes in the names of other relatives, some of whom have traveled with us and some not. I used to have multiple accounts but only have one now and I still get PINs. Just keep your fingers crossed, that works as well as anything else does.

This helped me when I did Disney last year!

I got an official pincode yesterday in the mail!

FREE dining for moderate and up- August 25-October 3. October 19-nov 1. Nov 9-22. Dec 12-23

Book by sept 12

I'm not going this year! grrrrr!

(Says ask about quick service for value resorts)

My fiance has gotten two pin codes by regular mail within the last four months. The first one was for free dining this summer and the second one (received today) was for free dining this fall which is very similar to the public offer.

Ironically, these were both sent in his name when all of our trips have been booked with my name as the lead using my MDE account. Most of our trip have been booked with free dining as well, using a pin code when we've received it.

Not sure what the logic is here (if there is any) but I can only assume they send it to us since they know we'll take advantage (we always have). The card he received today even suggests we stay at CSR, which is where we stayed last year!

Update:

Still no PIN for me. However, I continue to receive emails every couple days from Disney Destinations reminding me about the magic in my cart. I have received 8 of these emails since opening the account on May 9, as well as one rack rate promo email. None of our other email accounts have received anything from Disney in well over 2 months.

Fingers still crossed!

Update #2:

GOT A PIN!! Nothing via email or snail mail, but called tonight and had one on our account that was not there 4 days ago when I called.

:thumbsup2

Since I never received anything in the mail or email, I can't quote the details of my specific offer. However, since it covered our travel dates during one of the blackout weeks, I can only assume it's the same PIN offer that others have been receiving with additional dates/resorts.

DD called today because of the fiasco around WLs pool. She only started looking at resorts 2 days before the Visa FD offer and booked WL.

We did however check back for other offers occasionally. After getting quotes for the other deluxes I told her to ask about moderates. The CM told her that she had a code for FD at POR.

Also last year her sister saved an offer for the Music. Several months later DH and DS got pins in the mail this was at least a month after the first wave of pins came out. Both postcards said we see you are looking at Music. However neither DH nor DS were. Why they got the code insted of DD I do not Know.

I signed up under 2 email addresses, my personal & school. I haven't had my FI sign up yet. We aren't going till June 2015, so i'm wondering if I should hold off on having him sign up in hopes of getting one for around that time instead of getting them now..

Did you just call and ask if there are any PINs associated with your account?

Yes, I called once or twice a week to see whether there were any pins associated with our account.

Thanks for the tip. I called and we do have an expanded FD PIN code associated w/ our account! :thumbsup2 The CM is going to email it over so we can go online and see if we can find something that works for us. We usually stay at Swan/ Dolphin and have a trip booked for the fall but if we can get FD, maybe we'll switch over.

I was curious and called to see if I had a pin on my account. It was for summer for up to 30% off rooms, and free park hopper. Hopefully I can keep getting pins!

I called Disney last night and asked if I had a PIN code...and I did!!! For free dining, and it included Port Orleans!!! Which was my original first choice resort, before I knew it was excluded from free dining...well now I have switched my resort AGAIN, but this time is the last time! :) From Wilderness Resort to Animal Kingdom Lodge because of the pool situation, now to Port Orleans French Quarter, keeping my free dining and saving myself $. I am a happy girl. I urge everyone planning a Disney world trip to call and ask about a PIN. I had to pull the info out of the girl on the phone, she didn't just spill the info, but I got it!!! :):joker:
