I'm so lazy...I should just check it on the website...but here I am bugging you guys!

Just got a quote for 9 nights/10 days at the Poly for $1,873.17 (tax included). That's room only. I would add 8 day park hopper passes for a grand total of $2,883.47. Is that pretty good? It sounds good to me but I'm dumb. LOL.

Thanks!

That is an AMAZING rate!!!! That works out to be just over $200.00 a night...rack rate for value season garden view is $399.00 a night before tax!!! That is like half off almost!!!

How did you get that rate? Did you have a % off pin code?

No code. I'm chronically codeless. The rate was qouted to me by magical vacations. They are running a special during my dates. Guess I'll be booking. YAY!

ETA: I just put in our dates of travel and the 8 day park hopper pass on the WDW website -- and got $5,329.04 for the room and tickets. Wow!

Wow what a great rate. Good for you.

Any way you can let me know the secret. We are looking to go and I cannot find any discounts for our time frame and I am not getting any Pin codes.

WOW  that is a great rate! How, where, when did you get this rate for, please share :worship:

I was going to PM you, but that option is not available.

I got the rate through Magical Vacations Travel (www.**********************.com). They were running a fall deal and I emailed the very nice travel agent (Lisa) who helped me figure everything out. They have other deals and other resorts too so check out the website.

HTH!!

If you don't mind me asking, what is your time frame?

That is an awesome rate. I have not had rates like that for the Poly for years and rack rates have gone up a lot since then.

Sorry, forgot to add that. We are going in August, but not sure if we are going on the 4/3 from the 8th to the 15th. Or waiting for a discount for the end of August and then going Aug 29th to Sept 5th,

My kids do not start school untill Sept. 9th.

Thanks for asking and any help you can give me.

If you are planning for the end of August (or if that is when you want to go) I believe the "norm" has been free dining during that time frame. Would that work for your family better than the 4/3? I also remember room only discounts for the general public in August too. My SIL normally travels during that time and I know she's had the free dining. You can check past deals that have run during your planned dates of travel in 2008, 2007 and 2006 on mousesavers. Here's the link: http://www.mousesavers.com/historicalwdwdiscounts.html

I hope this helps!!

ETA: This was borrowed from the Mousesavers website for the August deals. Looks like there are quite a few of them but they don't come out until early June usually...

Thanks for the past discount information.

My bold in the quote, when I figured the 4/3 deal with 7 day PH and DDP from 8/8-8/15 it would be $3,864. When I figured free dining for 8/29-9/5 it would be 3,964 so about $100 more. We are a family of 5 (2A 2C 14, 9 and 6)

But we have gone at the end of August and the crowds are pretty low, thats why I would rather go at the end of August as opposed to the middle.

Hope this makes sense. I will keep checking the DIS for upcoming discounts for late August.

Again thanks for your help.

Sharon

I'd love to see you get a PIN for 40% off -- or Disney release its package deals for Aug early. A package deal (not free dining) might be the thing you need.

Good luck! Let me know how it goes!!

Thanks so much for the link! This is my first post, ever! I sent in an online request form a couple of days ago, but haven't heard anything back from Lisa. We are ready to book ASAP. I can't find a phone number on her page, is there a way I can contact her by phone?

Nevermind, I found the number, I hope she gets back to me soon, that rate is AMAZING!!!!

She is great!! I just talked to her in person and she was wonderful. My trip is booked and I can't stop singing, "We're going to Disney". My kids laugh...I'm excited!!
