Is this a good price for videography?

I recently contacted Cinema Chic Productions after Lurkyloo noticed that they've joined the ranks of Orlando videographers. I like the videos that CCP has put out, but they were a bit out of my price range for what I wanted and I actually wouldn't mind editing the video myself. I mainly need footage of the day that was taken with a good, artistic eye.

So, CCP actually priced out a custom package for me immediately. For $900 I would get 2 videographers, six hours of footage, and a DVD with the raw video files. The only thing is that I can't tell if this is actually a good deal because it's such an unusual package. I need a push in one direction or the other before I make a decision...

So you would just be getting the raw footage and nothing edited?

Our videographer is cutting us a huge deal by giving us his 6-hour package even though we need more, full edited video with our choice in music, some sort of preview I think online?, raw footage if we request it, 2 videographers up until dinner is being served and 3 DVDs for $1150.

I think it is a good deal. Most packages with 2 videographers 6-8 hours would run over $2,000 with edited video. I think we paid about that. So I think if you break the time down it is about $150 an hour for 2 videographers- and good ones plus the rights to your raw footage. Not bad in my opinion.

Sounds good to me for higher-end videography - but you might want to get that raw footage on mini-DV instead of DVD, because you will have to rip it from the DVD into a digital file before you can work with. But maybe you have ripping software already... or don't have access to a mini-DV camera...

oooh good point!

That sounds pretty good.

I actually just booked our videographer @ $1850, with that comes: 8 hours, 2 people, 3 cameras @ ceremony(one still), wireless mic on the groom & pastor, 2 cameras for the remainder of night. All editing, designing/special effects for the menu & cover to match my wedding colors/theme, and 3 DVD's.

Rhodes Studios is who I went with, they actually did my neighbors wedding 3 weeks ago @ a resort in Downtown Disney. if you want to check with them 407-242-7800. Ask for Edmund Rhodes.

Good luck
