Is this a good flight price? Or can you beat it?

I'm obsessed, lol, sorry for all the questions! I totally want to book something (anything) just now, where as OH wants to wait! And it's the old problem of - book now and risk the price going down, or wait to book and risk the price going up!

Flying from Glasgow makes things a little more difficult.

Basically 2 adults, anytime in May 2010 for 2 weeks. Don't mind going indirect although would prefer only 1 stop!

Have just found through NetFlights for £358 each, GLA - LGW - MCO (arriving at 3.30pm local time). I think this is a pretty good price! Considering I've found direct for around £500 each. We would have the money for these flights just now but really not sure what to do!

What do you guys think of this price and can anyone find any better??

We're just looking for flights for April/May next year and the cheapest I have found for the dates we're looking for is £341 indirect MAN-MCO.

The other day they were £100 more expensive. Planning on booking tonight, as we think that's a good price.

I think that's a good price as the change is only in the UK which should be easier. We paid £330 a person into Newark/out of Orlando in October (indirect on the way back)

We've just booked the £341 flights I mentioned earlier. MAN-MCO indirect via Philly with US Airways. We've travelled with them on all our previous trips. Their prices always seem the cheapest for us.

Thanks guys :thumbsup2

OH still not convinced about booking yet so I'm gonna be watching the price like a hawk! LOL

Personally, I think that a sub-£350 price for indirect is a great deal.

While it may go lower, I can't see it going much lower. For us, we thought a bird in the hand was definitely worth two in the bush. I saw our flights over a week ago for £347 and just never had time to book them then. At the wekend when i looked again, they'd gone up by £100 each. Now they're back to £341, I decided to go for it.

Each to their own, I suppose!

Have you looked at KLM(NWA)?

We got flights LHR-Detroit-MCO for £290 each. It then depends how you'd get to LHR that could make them a better deal or not for you, but worth a look.

Just slightly cheaper, Continental Airlines £346.50 11th-25th May but other dates will be available.
Good times 2 hours change going out 2 hour 6 mins coming home.
GLA 09:00 MCO 14:35 (12h 13m)1 stop
MCO 16:13 GLA 07:30 (11h 55m)1 stop

I would be very tempted to book, not seeing many flights below this price now.

I saw the Continental flights last night after I'd posted this as well.

Really unsure what to do! £358 flights are with BA which I know has alot of problems recently, and while I really don't see them going under, I dunno if I'd wanna risk it! Have flown with Continental before and found them fine.

Anyone got any recommendations between Continental and BA? For the sake for £10/£20 difference I'd prefer to get the "better" flight.

EDIT: I also don't have a credit card for the added protection. I could possibly use one of my parents but I don't know if they'd allow me to put so much on it.

Sorry, another question....

If I do book....does anyone have any advice on WHO to book with?! Expedia, NetFlights and BA direct all have the same price, would I have any extra protection booking with an outside buyer or best just sticking with BA direct?

This is driving me nuts, going round and round in my head, should we book, should we not, lol.

If it's the same price book direct, that way you can check in online, and possibly choose your seats before you fly!

Thanks Torsie :) I meant to reply to your comment earlier as well! I checked KLM/NWA and it worked out slightly more expensive (£420) plus from Glasgow they wanna do Glasgow - Amsterdam - Atlanta - Orlando and on the way back it's Memphis instead of Atlanta! Thanks though :thumbsup2

:lmao: That's a lot of stops! :)

i would fly ba only because our last continental flight they lost our luggage on the conntecting flight and took around 4 days to get it to us

Thanks orangetiggs! I've now posted a poll for everyone's opinions, lol. Everyone has said what a great price so now I just need to decide between Continental or BA and persuade OH we need to book, lol. Persuading OH will be the difficult part!
