Is This a Good Deal for Grand Floridian?

I got a pin code and booked 6 nights in a Grand Floridian garden view room with 2-1 day park hoppers for a total of $2100.00 for the first week in May.

We have annual passes so we don't need the hoppers but it was part of the deal. The reservationist told me that if we don't use the hopper tickets we can use them to apply to the purchase of our AP renewals when they come due.

I don't know if there are ever any better discounts out there for Grand Floridian with the AP discount, but since there are no AP deals out for that time of year yet, I booked this. Just wondering if it is a good price. I looked at the Disney website and without the pin code, the same package would have been $3160.00.

Also, it indicated that my package includes a marina offer voucher, bass fishing offer voucher, Niki Bryon Spa offer voucher and Sammy Duvall offer voucher. What are these "offers". Never had these before.

These are 'extras' that you get on any package you book. Since you don't normal book packages as an AP holder you've never been offered them.

Saving $1000 sounds like a great offer! I wonder what the PIN was for exactly? A discounted room rate?

its a great deal but i dont know why they would require the PH option. I would call back to make sure.

I did call back this morning to see if I could just make it a 1 day base ticket.
The agent tried but said the system wouldn't let him do it. It only let him do a hopper.

So are those offers included in the package actual vouchers or just discounts for those things?

Their actual vouchers with your name on them. It's so strange that they are requiring the PH I've never read that before. It's suppossed to be Magic your way;)

Thanks.
I thought the same thing. I thought I should be able to just get 1 day base tickets but gave it one more shot last night and was told my a different reservationist that the ticket had to be a hopper. It's ok though. I can use the ticket to renew my AP next year.

Room only rate for a garden view, based on previous passholder rates for that time of the year would be somewhere between $298 and $324 per night, pretax.

so, figure $1800 to $1950 for the six nights, using passholder discount, with no tix.

Your tix, seperate would be $262, so the rate for the room is about as good as it gets for the GF. If you're gonna take the tix and upgrade to passes anyway, prob made a great choice.

Thanks for the replies. I did all the math and research and found this to be a pretty good deal especially since we can use the 1 day hoppers towards the renewal of our annual passes anyway.
We went ahead and put the dining plan on too. We are accustomed to staying in a 1 bedroom villa where we have our own kitchen to make food. Since for years I really have had my heart set on staying at the Grand Floridian, I decided to get the dining plan because we will be eating all our meals out this trip.
I can't wait to be there!
