Hi, just wondering what I should do...should we book out august trip now (with the 40% off value rooms special) or wait until it gets closer to summer? Will the pop century rooms be sold out, or should I wait and try and snag a decent deal for the end of august as august draws closer????? Right now it's almost $3000 for myself, DH and 2 kiddies (this includes 10 day base ticket, meals and our room). Is this a deal?????

40% off is pretty much the most you are going to get for a room discount anywhere - ever. Maybe 45%, but I don't recall seeing that at a value.

I would book it now and if a better deal for your dates comes out (like free dining for a family at a value might be better - probably would be) - call and apply that discount instead. If it's available for your resort, which is most likely would be for free dining, if they offer it.

$3000 for a family of 4 for 10 days with dining seems pretty good to me, but free dining would be more of a deal for 4 people at a value.

You would just have to crunch the numbers, but I wouldn't skip the deal you can get today in hopes of something better coming.

I second what Vicki said! If you know you are going, regardless, then go ahead & book. You can always "flip-flop" deals later, if something better comes along. 40% is great, though! Are they offering a higher % off at moderates or deluxe? We splurged on the Poly in Nov. b/c 40% off deluxe was not much more than the 30% off they were offering at moderate.

May I ask if the 40% off value rooms is a pin code you received or are you seeing this somewhere on the WDW site?

Looking at WDW website, I am seeing Deluxe at 40% off values at 20 & 25% off.

I have a trip booked for free dining 8/23/11-8/30/11 two rooms for 5 of us at Pop - 2 adults, 17, 14, 11 and the cost was about $2,900 for free dining promo. I did a comparison online last night - 4 minus one adult in a room a pop - none available with the current discount. The cost was over that with dining involved at one of the other values. I will keep my free dining now. I don't think that deal is so great but yours right now for $3,000 10 days isn't bad at all. I would go and book it.
