7 day hoppers for 2 adult and 1 child come to $632 on the disney site but when I put it together as a package it comes up $35 higher, is this tax or maybe other fees in booking room and tickets together.

If I buy tickets at my local Disney Store (I was surprised to see they cost the same there) does my state tax apply or FL?? (if there is tax that is).

Thanks!!!

Florida tax rate always applies, no matter where you buy. I never bought tickets as part of a pkg, so can't help you there.

Also, it's my understanding that buying thru the Disney Store is a voucher that you have to exchange for the actual pass when you arrive. Another step I didn't care to do. Did you check into buying from ticketmania.com or another discount vendor? You have time and they send you the actual pass.

If I remember correctly the WDW site doesn't add the tax until you "put the items in the cart". So the price through the disney site may be higher if you go through the process of adding the items to the cart and getting ready to purchase them

If you buy your tickets separately they are taxed at FL 6.5% tax, even if you buy them in another state. If you buy them as part of a package they are taxed at SURPRISE! the tax rate of your RESORT - 11.5% for most, a little higher at All Stars. I was not impressed with this info. But we want the dining package so we can't buy our tickets at the Disney Store this time. Darn!

Florida tax always applies is correct. As far as the Disney Store bought passes, it used to be that you got a voucher for teh AP's. Now all admission media bought through TDS is activated on at the POS. In other words, as soon as your credit card goes through, you've bought and activated your passes.

Also I understand that you can no longer change or upgrade TDS bought passes once you get to WDW, so buy what you want, and be sure about it before you buy.

Hmm, when I bought Park Hoppers two years ago, it was the actual pass. But when I inquired about the new MYW passes in early January, the Disney Store rep told me it's not the actual ticket. Maybe she didn't understand the new system yet.
