Is there such a thing as late check out?

Our plane leaves from MCO at @ 6:05 p.m. on Friday, May 24, 2002 , but when checking in on Saturday 5/18/02 (we should get there at about 9:30 a.m.) - is there such a thing as late check out or can I request to "check out" the night before, then in the a.m. just leave our luggage at the front desk (in the super secret hidey spot), go to a park, then come back to be picked up & taken to the airport? Whew, is that the longest run-on sentence you've ever seen??? Just don't want to spend hours standing in line on a Saturday at the front desk to check out when all we "have left" are a few hours. Thanks for any advice.

I think you can do express check out the night before. Have Bell
Services pick up your bags in the morning.(Make sure you have a tote with things
you need for the day e.g. swimsuits)then enjoy your last few hours

If you are putting your room on your credit card, then you can utilize express check out. You'll get your bill hanging on the front door by 7 am on your check out day. If everything looks okay, you just put the bill in your pocket and walk away. No further check out is required.

You can always store your luggage at Bell Services for the day and come back later that day to get it. No problem. If you want Bell Services to pick it up and store (most resorts offer this), you should call the night before to schedule a time for pick up. If you are willing to schlep your luggage to Bell Services, you can do this at any time.

What I usually do is pay for my resort room when I check-in. We do not use the resort keys for anything other than the resort (way too tempting to charge things to room for me) The night before we are scheduled to leave, I call down to the front desk and ask if our room incurred any charges for phone, etc. The next morning there is a receipt brought to my door stating that I owe $-0- . I haven't had to stand in line to check out yet! We just pack up and go . . .

If you do have charges to your room, take care of them the night before and you'll be all set for the next day.

We have never asked for late check-out because our flights are usually 1:40 and we have to be at MCO a couple hours before that.

You could just do express check out by leaving a credit card imprint with the front desk upon check-in. They will send you a detailed list of any charges to your account the night before you check out, and then charge your card after you have gone. You can then call for bell services in the morning and ask them to leave you luggage in storage until you are ready to go at the end of the day.
