Is there such a thing as a "Group Rate"?

I've seen threads mention "Group Rates" - any idea how many people/how many staterooms must be booked to qualify? An if you qualify, what does that entitle you to? Just wondering if anyone knew because I am looking to book 13 people in 4 staterooms for December 2005 and could use any discount I can get my hands on. Does this mean you have to book directly through Disney? Any info would be much appreciated.........

you can book a group rate thru DCL or a TA

you need to book a minimum of 8 staterooms (16 full paying adults) to qualify

some TAs have rooms already set aside for a group rate, so you might be able to get your 4 cabins for a group price without the hassle of filling 4 more cabins.

try the sponsors of this board; dreams unlimited- i got a great rate with them as it was added to their group booking- saved about $1000 by booking with dreams directly rather then DCL- we only needed one room

good luck :flower1:

Another vote for Dreams Unlimited!!! They have blocks of rooms reserved allowing you to get a group rate. I'm sure this isn't the case for each and every sailing but it was for ours and I saved over $800 for our June 5, 2005 cruise. I hope this helps!!!
