I thought I remember one being offered a few years ago - we were thinking of going to WDW this summer.

off of both tickets and room? I have never seen that. I have see 40% off rooms but for specific levels.

When in the summer are you thinking about going?

Considering what the DDP costs at regular price, I'd say that anytime free dining is offered it can be equal to or greater than 40% off a package price depending on the resort chosen and the number of guests in the party.

I have a 40% off of a room I am waiting to use right now. Just can't decide where I want to stay this trip, lol

I'd say the "Buy 4 Get 3 Free" was the closest thing to a 40% off package. You paid for 4 nights+tickets and got 3 nights+tickets for free. I know they did this several years ago (we took advantage of it :thumbsup2) and I think they offered it again recently. Maybe last year? I don't think the meal plan was ever included.

it was offered last summer (we used it). It really wasn't much difference in price then the offer on currently (30/35/40 off room rates). Remember after 4 or 5 days the price to add another day ticket is like $3.00 per person.

Our price went up a lot this year, not part of it was moving up room a moderate to a deluxe but also my oldest will have just turned 10 so we have to pay the higher DP price for him (not that he would EAT much off the adult menu)

I dont understand how you can get the room rate discount....there is soooo much info on room rates I cant figure out the best deal. I am looking for a Value resort Feb 26-March 4...with tickets and qd. The cheapest I can get it down to is almost 1700. I really only need tickets for 3 days:confused:

I am pretty sure to get the dining plan you need to have tickets for your entire stay. But honestly they do go down greatly in price the longer you are there so day. I am pretty sure that falls under the time frame of the promo I got (that 30%,35%, 40%one.)
Try quoting price for room only and see if you call vs. online - maybe you have the pin associated with your name- ask about it! Explain what you are trying to do and see if they can work a better deal for you.

I priced out your dates on disneywebsite using the link on the special offers page for up to 25% off. I don't know the people in your family but for 2 adults with a standard one, 3 day base tickets and the quick service plan at it was priced at a little over $1400 at All Star Music. Adding one child under 10 puts you a little over $1700. These package prices include the room discount. You just have to book it through the special offers page.

Unless something has changed since November, you only need to get a one-day ticket to get the DP. That is what we usually do, and then add more days as we decide where we want to go and what we want to do.

I am not positive but I thought if you wanted a DISCOUNT on the package with the 30% pins ect... you had to have tickets the entire time to add in the dining plan. But you know that doesn't seem to make sense- so I bet you are right!

We are thinking about July or August - when will discounts be out for that time period?

We were able to get free dining this past Nov and only got a 1-kday ticket w/ the 3 night package. We will use those 1-day tickets for another trip since we got 6 day tickets from Undercovertourist for the free dining trip.

We had a 40% off code for our room last September. I phoned WDW and asked about codes assisgned to our family. (Advise I found on DIS) My husband had a 40% off code. Good luck :hippie:
