wondering if there are still character events and fun things for kids while at port or does this stuff stop until back at sea. Not really interested in nassau, but if I can keep the kids on board they will be looking for stuff to do besides walk around the ship or swim.

The kid programming continues full time while the ship is in port. There are movies, water activities, etc. There are not normally character events or many family/adult events...but there is always the pool, hot tub, etc.

Actually, port is a great time to enjoy the ship--ride the Duck, do the Midship Detective Agency, etc. The SHOPS must be closed while the ship is in port (legal reasons). Everything else is open. Spa will often have specials.

We love staying on the ship while in port. The restaurants are empty, the pools are empty, the rain forest room is empty, and there's no line on the AquaDuct.

Except for the day at castaway cay. Tht day there isn't much going on on the ship.

Right, because a lot of the crew is actually on shore running everything. This ship is pretty empty on CC days. It's actually somewhat interesting to watch the crew load up at the end of CC day. There are _mountains_ of towels that are all brought back on-board to wash.
