considered the "black sheep" of the family?
Right now I would have to say it is my half-brother.
He has been arrested before, has experimented with drugs (in the past, don't know about now), has totaled his car (bought by my mom) while driving drunk, has been kicked out of the Navy (didn't know that was even possible!), owes money to several family members, has managed to get fired from 4 jobs in a about a year, and is currently dating a girl who is 8 years younger than him and is no more responsible than he is. They fight all the time too. Very physical, "call the cops" type of fights.
My poor mom. She just doesn't know what to do with him. She doesn't want to just give up on him because he is her son but I see the stress it causes her (especially when other family members ask her what she's going to do about him) and I know she's tired of dealing with him.
I'm not sure what I'd do if one of my kids grew up and acted like that.
Actually, I take that back. He's 28 and is no where close to acting grown up.
