Is there really no way to pay towards balance online?

I should know this by now, but is there really no way to make payment towards your room-only reservation online? It is 2018! Am I missing some clever way to do it that the folks on this board have figured out? Although the Disney phone operators are generally friendly, I get the impression that they are paid to keep us on the line for as long as possible, that is after you've gone through the gauntlet of options and questions. I just want to pay some money and move on with my day.

After using their site and app, I would feel safer calling them.

Actually their performance is measured more by the number of customers they help than the amount of time they spend with any one customer.

There isn't and it is probably because you aren't technically charged until you check in for room-only reservations.

I agree. If you book through say Orbitz or such you can pay in full.

Yeah, I asked point blank the last time I made a payment on the phone, and the CM said they are not set up to take online payments for room-only reservations. Seems so silly to me. Why would you want to make folks tie up the phones if you don't have to?

You can call and say make a payment to the room reservation. It's an automated system, you give your reservation number and credit card number and can pay that way. It was really quick for me the last time I did it

Yep this is how I've paid my room only reservations in the past. Would call up and through the automated system it would let me pay a little bit at a time.

I've always wondered what factors make it kick you from the automated system to an actual CM. I was able to pay a CM friends/family discounted room via the automated system, but my most recent room was booked under an AP discount, and it would kick me to a CM every time.

There is an automated way to pay over phone. You never have to speak to anyone. Try that.

I always start there, but for some reason my most recent reservation would kick me to a CM after I put in the reservation number. I never asked to be sent to one.
