Is there one price for children...?

Does the price for children change based on the cat, or is there one price??

I think it changes based on category. It starts based on double occupancy and then you add guests after that.

So, if my sister and her hubby and their two girls (4 and 6) are going in a cat 6, and I have a secret porthole room (cat 10 I think...), we would save money by booking the girls in my room???

Not if you are alone in your stateroom. The second guest in a stateroom, no matter the age is charged as an adult. If you have another adult already staying with you in your stateroom, it would be a little cheaper. Also, some staterooms only have occupancy rates for 3 people.

Right now I think it will be just me in the room, but I thought you had to pay double occupancy anyway.....so if we moved the kids, I would pay the difference of the kid rate and the adult rate for my room. We would both save money....?

Right now you're paying a single traveler surcharge. It's not the full rate for two occupants, but close to it.

The child rates are based on their ages and if they're the 3rd/4th, etc. occupant in a room. The category doesn't matter.

If you were to move a child into your room, it would actually cost them more as he/she'd be considered the second occupant at full fare. However, it may be a bit of a savings if you compare her current rate, and what the increase will be to you if added to your room.

I know it's confusing. I suggest getting the child fare and what your rate changes to by adding a child to your reservation and seeing if the difference ends up being less.
