Is there going to be a pool rehab at FW?

Read it on Allears (i think) but they didnt' give a specific date & I'm just wondering if anyone else has heard any info about it. We're DVC members & we've been dying to stay here in a cabin (unfortunely we don't have a camper or RV ) but I'm afraid our 3 pool slide junkies won't enjoy the pool at FW as much as some of the other resorts. The pool is just a big thing for us when we go. I realize there are lots of other great things at FW which is why we want to stay of course. We're looking at going in the fall of 2009 so we're hoping the rehab will be done by then.
Any info is appreciated!

I think the pool will be done by fall 09. I don't think Disney has given a rehab date, there has been some talk of early 09.

Don't DVC members get to visit any pool they'd like? You could stay at FW and walk to Wilderness Lodge or take a boat to Contemporary (or from there monorail to GF or Poly) for additional pool options.

Don't really want to have to pool hop. Seems like a huge pain-defeating the purpose of the "relaxing" stay that FW is suppossed to be. We've been on the FW grounds a few times and it's so large that even staying there & going to the pool is prob quite a hike, depending on where your cabin is-I'm not really familiar w/the layout. The idea of going all the way to another resort just to swim just doesn't seem in the cards for us. If we did consider that, it would prob be at WL since it's next door, but still a boat ride away. I know there's some walk way between the two, but w/ 3 younger kids (will be 9, 7 and 5 when we go) it still seems annoying.

we tried to do more research on the subject and found out that suppossedly the rehab is going to happen in Jan 2009 w/hopes of being finished by April!!!

You know I don't why everybody complains about no slide at FW. WDW is all about theming right. So I don't know about y'all but to me the pool seems to be themed right for a campground. Most campgrounds we visit don't even have a pool and if they do its nothing more then what you would find behind someones house. Now that being said a giant storm slide would be cool but whats the theme.

It's nothing to write home about but there is also a small unlifeguarded pool in one of the cabin loops that you can use should the Meadow Pool be closed for renovations during your stay.
