I am not bringing down a laptop and need to access my email for 5 mins one of the days next week. Is there anywhere on the property I can do this? Any idea how much it will cost? Were staying at BCV.

I think (not sure because I never used it), that there are computer stations downstairs in the lobbies of the Deluxes-- I know there is one at the AKL-- they are called "Business stations" or something like that. There may still be stations throughout the parks as well-- I remember using one back in May of 2003-- it was by WWTBAM in MGM, and it was just a little station like a phone booth, where you swipe your credit card, and it gives you a certain amount of time. I don't remember it being all that expensive-- a couple dollars for 10 minutes, or somewhere around that much-- other people who have used it more recently probably know more!

Any of the convention resorts(Contemporary, Coronado Springs, etc) have a business center that has all sorts of business facilities there - copying services, computer stations, etc... You can go to one of them, pay a reasonable fee & use their PCs connected to the Internet to check e-mail from home. (Sometimes we've done it & because we were on such a short time, we weren't even charged!)
Isn't the Yacht Club a convention resort? That'll be fairly close to your Villa - there's probably a business center there.

DisneyGirl - that's neat @ the stations in the parks...I'll have to keep my eyes open for that :) !

Last year my brother brought a laptop to the poly but forgot one of the cords so we asked the concierge and they told us the only place was at the grand floridian near the ballrooms and convetion rooms and when we got over there it is one little room with 2 computers that you can use for 15 minutes for like 5 dollars but it is a weird spot. we were told that the other resorts didn't have actual computers just the connections but this was a year ago.

The Yacht club does have a business area for meetings, conventions, etc. You can probably log onto a pc from there. The person asking about using his laptop at the Poly was sent to the GF becuase it was the closest one with pc connections. I believe all the resorts with business/convention area will let you use their pc's.

Your situation was a little different than many guests who only need to check e-mail, but don't bring along their laptops. I know that both Coronado Springs & Contemporary have Business Centers with connected PCs/Internet access because DH has used them within the past year.

wdwgoofee - Thanks for confirming @ Yacht Club Business Center. We'll be staying at the Beach Club in August & will probably have to check e-mail at least once while we're there.

The YC convention centre has a business centre. If you are '5 minutes' the sweet CM who is sometimes there on weekends may 'overlook' the charge. that's not a guarantee, though. Otherwise you would pay in 15 minute increments.

I've used the ones at Coronado Springs, Board Walk and Yacht Club. You will also find them at the Grand Floridian and, I think, the Contemporary. Dunno about the AKL.

The BC and BW also have those kiosk/terminal things near the public phone/restroom area...they're okay, but unreliable, and it's easy to waste time and money on them, just getting them to work right.

FWIW: there is also a Kinko's off property, on 535, not far from Steak n' Shake (mmmmm....) if you want to log on for a longer period of time and not pay the exhorbitant Disney prices.

We needed to acess our flight itineraries when we stayed at the CSR. We were able to do this for free in the Business Center.

But if you wanted to do other business it would be $10 for 15 minutes.
