Is there anyway to perform a dry run for Fp+ bookings

My 60 day window is Wednesday and I'm getting extremely nervous. Is there anyway to perform a dry run or can you tell me what to look for now in my Disney experience link that will make it a smooth sailing? I do have convention tickets for 7 people. Tia

I'm also curious and have the same qusetion. Tonight at midnight (presumably eastern time?) will be 60-days, and I am slightly nervous that the 7-day convention ticket that I have will not be linked correctly or something. When I log into MDE, go to FastPass+ on the drop down, it shows me a grayed out "selected" of just me, no one else in my party. And can't advance past that screen, I assume because it is 61 days. I can go to the "FastPass" set up in the MDE home screen, and it shows all of my party and all three 7-day tickets. Hopefully this will work out tonight . . .

If you have a package, no. Nothing will turn on as active until 60 days before check in
If you have tickets purchased separate from a room, yes.
At least that is the case for regular tickets. No idea if it's different for convention tickets. Are those considered a package?
If you have tickets purchased separately then you can play with FP for 30 days from today. It's easy to tell if this is the case if you go in to FP area of MDE and book a FP for tomorrow. If it's active, you have free standing tickets. If it's greyed out, you don't.
If there is a resort reservation, "magically" on day 60, at midnight Eastern (WDW is in Eastern time so everything it does is listed as Eastern Time), it turns on the ability to book for 60 days, instead of 30.

I just did mine today. No issues getting all the times I wanted. You are over thinking it a bit. It really is light in September. You will get what you want. Just start making them when you get up.

FP really are not that hard to get. I just added a day to our trip, it's less than 30 days away.
I was able to get everything I wanted at MK, including 7DMT.
Now, they will get fewer and fewer the closer I get to the trip but at 60 days, and all the way up to 30 days, every FP was available for every day, most all day long.

I do mine tonight at Midnight also guess we will all be there at the same time.

This link shows what the screens will look like:

I was worried too, and wished I could have "practiced", but in the end, it was not hard. Just know that they're going to offer you a few choices of sets of 3 FPs. Accept one of them and then you can go back and tinker with the times (and attractions if you change your mind). Some veterans advise picking the set that's furthest away from what you want. For example, if you want mid-morning, pick the late night times offered. Then when you go back to move the times around, you won't have any conflicts with the times you really want.

Good luck!

As others have said, there is no way to see it beforehand. I was doing reservations for a group of 7 for earlier this month at the 60 day window and got everything I wanted when I wanted (we were not trying to do Anna/Elsa meet-and-greet though). So - don't worry about it too much.

Something else to note, (not sure if it's in the tutorial or not) the MDE system will offer 4 options. Some will be different times for your 3 choices. Some will include replacement FP, almost each time. So be careful the one you pick includes the FP you want and not some MDE picked for you. I find myself just looking at the times and I've learned to look at both the times AND the choices.

Thanks, all. I will rest easy. I thought FP might be the same as ADRs, which WOW!, did not realize how much you need to be on the ball, right at 6 AM, to get some ADRs at 180 days+10 exactly. Given that I booked recently, no chance on some of the more popular ADRs. Oh well on that. Good to hear that FP is not near as stressful.

Oh, yeah. I forgot about that. I think if it can't find enough options for the 3 attractions you've picked, it will throw out some options with other attractions.

I wish there was a "practice" app, but only because I found the entire FP+ booking experience to be a blast, and want to do it again :)

i booked fastpass plusses last night right at Midnight and watched as the only 3 available times on my magic kingdom day for frozen characters disappeared in about 3 minutes, but everything else was easy this was at 60 days btw

Can I ask a question? I, too, have convention rate tickets, but they don't seem to be linking for fast passes. They are on my account, but it won't let me set up my fast pass account...it keeps asking for the ticket numbers, which I don't have. Does anyone know if this is resolved at the 60 day mark or do I need to fix this now??

Look on MDE under My Tickets and Reservations.
What do you see? Are there tickets showing? Are they assigned to you, and each member of your party?
If not, you can't book FP until you have them linked in to MDE
If you see them it probably won't let you do anything until midnight on day 60

The tickets are listed there, and linked. I just wanted to make sure I hadn't done anything wrong!! Thank you!

Good. Sounds like it's working correctly. The system is asking for Valid Ticket numbers when you try now because as far as it's concerned, you don't have any that are valid for booking, yet. 60 days out the ones you have will allow FP booking to work as they should.

Suppose the MK is open until 1am on the midnight date you are going to make FP's. Can you still do it at midnight or do you need to wait until 1am?
