That qualifies as a "must do" for you?

Later this month we will have our second visit. Is there a cooking demo or a special tour?

If you especially like something that you did, please mention. My sister and I will sign up for a ukulele lesson, but really, we thought they went way too fast to be worthwhile, except for the picture taking opportunity.

Although they are not exclusively for DVC members, Aulani offers a couple of walking tours that you might find interesting. One is a Guided Art and Culture Tour where guests get an in-depth look at the art and cultural features around the resort. The tour will highlight many of the special efforts made by the Disney imagineers to showcase Hawaiian stories and culture at the resort.

Another walking tour highlights the landscaping and wildlife around the resort.

You'll need to check the Daily 'Iwa to find the dates and times these tours are held. Sometimes they are held during the day but occasionally the Art and Culture Tour is held in the evening. Once you are at Aulani, you can go to the Pau Hana Community Hall to sign up for these tours.

There is a Chef's demonstration as well. https://disneyvacationclub.disney.g...ers/member-experiences/culinary-magic-aulani/

Already 2 of the 4 people I am going with want to do the cooking demo! My sister wants to do the walks, yeah!

No suggestions but just want to wish you a fabulous trip, Bobbi. Hawaii is paradise and being able to escape winter is priceless. I think I remember that you are going to Maui also. I could sit and watch whales 24/7 on Maui. You are so lucky!!!

Jean, you are right, we have a week in Maui and then a week in Aulani.
Today I remembered to take my brother in law off the reservation, he passed on Jan 1. I hope with all my heart that my sister finds this vacation helpful. Bill was with us on our last trip to Aulani, in fact he had an Aulani rainbow picture as his screen saver. We are all going to miss him.

No doubt your sister will have bittersweet moments. But hopefully the peaceful ambiance of Hawaii will be healing for all of you.
