Is there anything Lion King?

I just found out that FOLK is going to be closed for our trip. We were looking forward to it since we've never been to AK and my boys are really into the Lion King. Are there any other Lion King themed attractions/characters available other than Rafiki?

There is an environmental film starring the Lion King characters called Circle of Life at the Land pavilion in Epcot. There is also a Lion King segment in Mickey's Philharmagic at the Magic Kingdom which is a minute or two of "I Just Can't Wait to Be King".

Thanks. I find it kind of odd that there is nothing else beyond that. The other film my kids are really into lately: 101 Dalmatians.

There's a very cool lion king themed area at the art of animation hotel

And I *think* a big Dalmatian statue at All Star Movie hotel (but don't quote me on that)

there is a Dalmatian at the all star resorts, a HUGE one

The Lion King Show at AK is being moved while they are building the avatar land, think I've heard its closed until June. but definitely check out philarmagic at MK, your kids will love it!

This could make for some great after vacation at home magic if you find a photopass photographer taking this magic effect picture. They have you cradle your arms and when you view the photo there is a baby simba in your arms.

If you are very lucky, you might find Cruella deVil lurking around! She used to be at the Studios… not sure if that's still so, but it wouldn't hurt to look!

I agree, far too little LK presence in WDW. They seem to get stuck on themes… right now, it's Pixar and Star Wars. Nothing we are really interested in, but we still love the World!

You can meet Rafiki at Conservation Station ( I think ).

If you do meet him, bring a plush Simba doll with you

we'd be very happy if there were more LK and Dalmations, but I suppose that's harder than princesses.

Yes...very... Stitch is EVERYWHERE!! You're going to have a great trip the wake up calls are one of the things we like best about staying onsite (it even wakes up my DD, who could sleep through anything)

The Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom game has Cruella de Ville and Scar as villains to play against. The kids would get to rescue the dalmatians and help Rafiki.
