Is there any warning before ticket prices increase?

Heading to WDW in April and would like to wait as long as possible before buying our multi-day tickets. If Disney raises ticket prices is there an advanced warning so that you can jump on the current prices before they go up? If there is a warning, is there time to buy tickets through a discount site like undercover tourist? (I haven't really looked into the process of buying with them so pardon my ignorance)

Thanks!

Not much time in advance from Disney.
Typically, the new prices are announced to ticket personnel on a Friday, and the new prices go into effect on Sunday, two days later.

But, the ticket resellers like UT often have a stock of tickets at the "old" price, and
will sell from that stock until those tickets are all purchased.

No guarantee that the ticket type and length that you want will be in adequate stock
when the new prices are announced.

Overall, sometimes UT will get a "hint" that Disney is raising prices sometime in the "near future" and UT will post that info.
That can vary, and the time between the "hint" and actual price change is inexact.

The best advice I can give is read the DIS boards diligently. Pay attention to the rumors. Even then, you may not know for sure - just like the situation with the AP's last week. There were rumors that there were changes coming, and that there could be price changes coming, but the actual changes pretty much hit overnight without any real warning.

As far as UT is concerned, Robo gave you some great advice. The only thing I would add to that is to have a couple back up ticket options in mind in case the specific ticket you want is not in stock. For example, if you want a six day PH ticket and it isn't available, look for a six day base or a five day PH, either of which you could upgrade during your trip for the days/options you need. Having a back up option in mind ahead of time means you won't waste valuable time during the ordering process when their inventory could be dwindling by the minute.

Here's your advance warning: Ticket prices will increase.

When? I don't know. But mark my word -- they will go up. So if you know you're going to go, and you can afford it, buy the tickets now.

either of which you could upgrade during your trip for the days/options you need.

I agree with one caveat: based on rumors we are reading for this year's increase there is the possibility that tickets will be completely restructured (tiering), so there is the remote possibility that tickets won't be upgradeable in the regular way - i.e. buy a 5 day and add a day at the gates. Just wanted to mention that so those new to the process won't be bummed if they can't upgrade this year's tickets.
