Is there any spots where you can sit and still see WoC?

I know the main viewing area is all standing, but is there somewhere a ways away where you can sit and still get at least an OK view? Standing for a long wait and then the show won't work for me, but I'm hoping to catch at least part of the show. Ideas?

Last year, we did a WOC dining package at Ariel's Grotto. Then we arrived early to be one of the first to enter the dining package area for the show. Instead of going to the regular viewing area, we kept going down to the boardwalk splash zone area. We chose a spot right up to the railing. This approach doesn't avoid the wait. But we were at least able to sit on the boardwalk while we waited. And we probably could have stayed sitting for the show too. It was nice to have an unobstructed view of the show. The splash zone didn't seem to have as much demand. We got misted by the water just a little.

While one waits for WOC to start you are free to sit wherever you ara. Once the show starts you will need to stand. If you are at the front rail like the PP here I guess you could stay sitting - not sure if the CMs would allow it.

Sitting while waiting is much easier if you are at a rail and can use that to lean up against. We do that regularly ourselves.

There are some benches on the opposite side of the lagoon where you can watch the fountain and light show portion. You can't really see the animated projections, and you can't hear the music very well.

At Fantasmic!, it's set up for lots of people sitting, albeit uncomfortably, on the ground. Wish WOC was this way. It's more of an ROTC training session than it's a fun night time show.

Can you see the water screens?

I watched from the platform of the Grand Californian the other night, and could not see what was happening on the water screens.
But I could get the idea of the show and put a lot of it together in my head.

I will probably watch from the viewing area tonight.
Or not.
I have a fast pass for the blue area. Since I obtained this fast pass before park opening this morning, I was surprised that it was blue, and not the yellow area.

I am thinking the very back of the blue area could work for me.

When we saw it last year with a group if four we tagged teamed waiting to enter the viewing area. We were some of the first in line at the queue. Two waited while the other two got dinner. That way we weren't all standing and waiting at the same time. After entering we made a beeline for the spot we wanted. We had a spot on the rail by the water and all sat while we waited for the show to start. Once it started we stood.

If you have severe difficulties there is a wheelchair area for the disabled. It is usually at the top of the blue section. Not sure about your situation.

Similar suggestions as the other posters. If you get a premium view room at PPH, you'll have a spectacular view of the light/water portion. You can sort of see the screens, but they'll be at an angle. There is also the WOC channel on the TV, so you can hear the music as well.

I've done the WOC dining package, and it's not worth it in my opinion if you have small children. We had to hold our kids so they could see, and I thought my arms were going to fall off by the end.

Otherwise, I've walked right up before the show started and sat on the steps around the backside of the lagoon, near CA Screamin. The water and lights in combo with the music is the best part of the show. I don't mind missing the water projection screens at all.

We watched last night in the Carthay Circle area. There were two benches in that area. When we got there a couple was sitting on them and they had laminated cards that allowed them there. Not sure where they got them from but they were joking that they got them for being "old and decrepited", their words. Our area was right behind the wheel chair seating area.
