I'm looking, but if there's a thread, I haven't found it!

I couldn't go on it, because classes begin for me this week, (I'm the prof!:teacher:) but would love to read about the fun! DH and I just came back from a RCCL cruise in the same part of the world, and the seas were smooth and the weather fine, so I'm hoping the same for them!

Wow, I saw your post earlier and thought I would come back to check in to see what everyone had to say. Nothing yet? Darn!

They've all been rendered speechless after hearing the new Aluani dues.

I've gotten a few updates from a friend on the cruise. Weather seems to be great and she said she was heading to a presentation by Joey Fatone. Other than that the only things I've seen on Facebook have been posted by DVC. Looks like they are still giving out small suitcases. :lmao:Sorry just had to laugh as we got these small suitcases (all different artwork) in 2007, 2008 and 2009. Cute for kids but didn't do much for me as an adult.

Considering what DVC charges for internet and the "quality" for that service I would not expect much. I wouldn't pay those prices to keep us informed :)

All of the cruise lines are like this I think. You're right, I forgot about that detail. On Princess, we've finally reached the point where I get quite a bit of free internet time. I kept off the internet while on the RCCL last weekend.

Bumping up to see if anyone can tell us how it went?

We are home from the Member Cruise. It was wonderful. Kermit the Frog was our special guest the last night! So special!
We had a sneak peak at this season's Prep and Landing show. The pool deck was decorated with Christmas Decorations and they had the "snow" blowing, with Hot Chocolate and Gingerbread cookies. The Aquaduck lights were red and green.
Castaway Cay was magnificent, a little rain both days there, but nothing to keep us off the beach for too long.
The 20th Anniversary show was a little disappointing. Joey Fatone was the guest, but read off a teleprompter and it ended with the sales pitch.
We went to a drawing session with Ducky Williams, what a treat!
It was our first Disney cruise and we were extremely impressed. We had a great dining team, and totally enjoyed the shows.
The gifts this year included the little suitcase with a travel cup, blanket, playing cards, hat and a bag. A Prep and landing pin, A dream pin, A Kermit the Frog book, An orange bird plush, 20th Anniversary wine glasses, and a D23 paper type of book. It was our first member cruise, and I wasn't sure what to expect. The presents are nice, but I wasn't excited with the selections.
We haven't decided if we will try to go on next year's member cruise or not. As far as I know they didn't give us any dates on when the booking date will be.

Thank you for responding! Kermit the Frog....that was special!!!
I sort of know how you feel about the gifts. We've given away (donated) most of the ones we got from the Member Cruise in 2005, but it was the whole experience that I like to concentrate on.
Do you know the dates of next year's cruise?

I think it is scheduled for Oct 21, 2012, 4 nights.
We sure did appreciate the Member Cruise. It is very nice having something in common with everyone. We especially liked the double dip to Castaway Cay.

The cruise that I have mentioned in my ticker also will stop twice at CC. It will be with our family, including our DGC. This will be our first cruise that does that. Now that I think about it, that cruise really does preclude our going next year on the MC. Maybe in 2013.
