Is there any hope of a discount for Fort Wilderness Campground?

We are seriously cash deprived and hoping to take advantage of our GAD vouchers without spending the mortgage money. We are planning to tent camp during the Value Season (in Nov.) at one of the cheapest sites at Fort Wilderness campground, so we can take advantage of all the free entertainment for "resort guests". That brings it down to $44 per night plus tax, but dh's eyes are still popping out of his head at the cost. Are there ever "room only" discounts for the Campground, or is that ats cheap as it gets?

If you have AAA, you can get 20% discount, bringing the nightly rate down to $35.20 + tax if there is availablity

I second AAA as PP said. See your form upstate SC as well, hope you have a super trip we will be there in NOV/DEC
