We are leaving for a side trip to Hershey Park in 4 days :thumbsup2 , and all I can think about is ......DISNEY.........arggggghhhhhh  What's my problem am I crazy  ....well yeah but that has nothing to do with Disney :rotfl2: Is any one else in this same boat pirate: or am I the only lost cause :guilty: HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought I was the only one who did this! :rotfl2:

I went to college 20 minutes from Hersheypark, got there all the time, and all I could think about was how much I wanted to go to WDW!

Maybe we should start a support group :mickeyjum

i've lived a couple hours from hershey for six years and i've only gone two or three times...disney really does spoil you for all other parks! ::yes::

Well of all the PArks in the area Hershey in my opinion is the closest thing to Disney.

They keep it very clean and the workers are mostly very pleasent.

How can you go wrong walking around all day smelling that great smell.

Two years ago we had a vacation to Hershey and Jersey Shore planned. My kids ended up very sick with respiratory infections and strep about 4 days before our trip. Because we had used frequent flier tickets for the airplane flight, I found I was able to change the dates and place that we went for just $25 per ticket. So, for $100 we ended up going to Disney about 3 weeks later. But we were in DISNEY!!! (And secretly relieved that we weren't in Hershey Park wishing to be at Disney.)

I always thought Disney resort prices could be high, but we had reserved the Hershey Lodge for something like $275 per night and that's not even the nicest hotel there!! The other one was higher priced yet!

I was fortunate to get my hotel deposit back because of the children's illness.

WHEEEEW! I'm glad to see I'm not alone. Thanks. This is our 8th year straight going so I know we love it ....but disney does spoil you  We will still enjoy the smell of Chocolate everyday WoooHooooooo :thumbsup2 See you all in Aug. at the "WORLD" :cool1:

We just went to Sea World San Antonio and had a great time, but I always end up comparing everything else we do to Disney. DH says that he would like the kids to have other experiences and I guess he's right. We were just at WDW in March and I am going through some serious withdrawal. He says we can't go back for about 1.5 years, but there is no way I can wait that long.

We have been to Hersey Park several times, and I am in no hurry to go back. All in all we had a pleasant experience while we were there, but, there is only one WDW. And as for the cost - Three nights cost me approx $1100 in total with gas, food ,lodging, tickets and spending $. There is not much difference between that and what Disney costs... So I'll take a Mickey Bar over a piece of Chocolate any day! :mickeybar :mickeybar :mickeybar

I went to Hershey Park in 2004. I had NO IDEA how hilly that place is. I was soooo tired by the end of the day.

The person I went with had not been to WDW yet. The whole time we were there, I kept saying, trust me, after you've been to WDW, you'll understand the look on my face.

WDW has ruined me forever!

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

We really stopped going to any other amusement parks. Price wise...you get alot more at WDW than ANYWHERE else!
I do go to Hershey....just because my company pays for it during our annual company outing!
Hershey is nice....BUT IT AINT NO DISNEY!!!!

like they say; "there is no place like home"....

Disney is home and there is no place like it....

No, your not alone, I think there are many of us out here that have the WDWS (Walt Disney World Syndrome ), and yes we do need a support group, but wait, The DIS, this is where its at, our help, that daily fix, perfect.

I'm only 30 -60 mins. from Atlantic City, Ocean City and Wildwood beach and boardwalks, and I can't even remember when the last time I went to either place. After going to Disney, it just dosen't doing anything for me. I would like to go to Six Flags Jackson, only to ride the new coaster, but hate to pay the $ and the car ride just for the one experience. Oh well, Disney in 5 days   :cool1:
