We are staying on site (at the Poly) and won't have our own transportation. Just wondering if there's any onsite Urgent Care or Medical attention available??

It is not onsite, but close by and you can take a taxi or there is a shuttle. There is also a pharmacy that delivers and a few years back when I developed a sinus infection my dr at home called in a rx and it was waiting for me later that day at the front desk.

Are you talking about if someone comes down with something and you need some meds or such? There's one just north of the Hotel Row exit onto 535. Obviously if it's an emergency there's all manner of EMTs available. For illness call the front desk and they'll help you get what you need.

And the EMTs are fast. DS went off a curb with his wheelchair. EMTs were there in just a couple minutes.
And hotel manager and several CMs were also there in less time than that. WDW really wants to make sure everyone gets taken care of.

Centra Care http://www.centracare.org/

There are several locations... we went to the one near AKV when DD got sick since that was closest but there is also one near DTD. They offer free transportation so no need for a taxi :thumbsup2

OP I realize that you did not ask this, but I had a son go to an Urgent care(we have friends in orlando and used their Ped) and we had to pay upfront(CC) for him to recieve care. At the time(a few years ago) it was over $200.

They did not take my out of state ins. Just saying- to be prepared;)

I had to take my son to the Celebration Hospital ER during our visit last summer. They saw and treated him without payment up front from us. I had to show my insurance card when we checked in, and they had everything worked out with our insurance company by the time we checked out. I only had to pay my co-pay before we left. Disney arranged for a taxi to take us to and from the hospital at no cost to us, which was certainly helpful considering how distraught I was when my son became so ill.

Centra Care also took my out of state insurance....In fact the Walgreens across the street took my drug plan as well. So all we had were two small copays.

I can't speak to urgent care but I can second the EMTs and Celebration Hospital. I was rushed there emergently in the middle of the night. It was the morning we were supposed to check out. EMS was quick and efficient, the ER was as well and the took my insurance no problems. Disney vouchered us a taxi back to the hotel and the housekeeping manager at POFQ let us stay in the room until our Magical Express pickup because we hadn't slept and I was placed on strict bed rest. Amazing for such a scary experience!
