Is there an inexpensive way to have a Disney Wedding?

My son and his fiancee are planning on getting married next year.
They looked on the WDW website and essentially found that the weddings cost around $10,000.00.
I am sure that they would have around 100 guests, if the wedding was held here, but if it was in Florida the list would most likely be smaller.
Where can they look for further info? Are there some good websites to help out? Any advice would be great appreciated.

$10K is the minimum cost for a custom wedding in the evening or on weekends with WDW. Most custom evening/weekend wedding cost more then that.

$7500 is the minimum cost for a custom wedding at any other time.

Intimate weddings are avilable for around $3500 (I think), but have a limit of 8-13 depending upon how much you pay.

How many people are you anticipating having for the wedding if it is held in WDW?

We had a Saturday evening wedding, with the ceremony at the Yacht Club Gazebo and the reception at Ariel's in the Beach Club. We had 50 people total, 45 adults and 5 children and we spent around $11,500 with Disney and about $14,500 total on the wedding (this included outside vendors for floral, video and photo).

I would suggest that they call Disney Fairy Tale Weddings and ask for more information. We weren't sure about anything until we called them. We are having an intimate wedding in January, and when all is said and done we are probably going to spend around $6000. They can be cheaper depending on where they want to stay, what time of year they go, and how many extras they add on. Everyone at FTW is very nice and able to answer any questions. Good Luck!

Another money-saver: I booked the Intimate Wedding add-on at $2300. You can do that as long as you have at least one night paid at a Disney hotel and if you are staying at least four nights. That works out well for me since I am banking (and hoping) on annual passholder rates. The total then at WL will probably be at $560 for four nights (in addition, we are staying at SSR). After that, we only have one park hopper to pay for, so it saves us about $500.
Keep in mind, when you book the package, you are paying for UPHs, which we never need, and more than likely, rack rate on the room.

Thanks for the advice, I am going to suggest that they contact Disney Fairytale weddings and have them look into the Intimate Wedding add on.
If they decide to have their wedding in WDW, I will definately suggest to them that they keep their guests to a minimum, and have the ceremony in the afternoon.
We can always have a reception at home after their honeymoon etc.

DISNEY CRUISE LINE is the way to go you get everyting if you use the land sea package. Thats what I am doing and so far Disney has been wonderful and relatively cheap. IT only costs 2,500 and that includes reception and flowers wedding coordinator it covers lots. My honeymoon wedding and stay at Disney with park passes 6,000.00
