Is there an ignore thread feature?

Is there an ignore thread feature or the possibility of one? Some people like hopping in the days/months long echo chamber threads on controversial topics, but I'm really not one of them. It's a frustrating buzzkill looking to see if there's something new only to see the same few people in one thread yelling at each other keeping the topic in front of my eyes for months. All good for them, just would like to have an option to not have to look at it day in and day out if I decide it's not for me.
