Is there a way to go fishing on Disney premises?

I thought there was a way you could do this, but I'm not sure about it. Could someone out there verify this and perhaps provide a few details on it or links, etc? TIA

In early December, I saw people fishing from a boat on the Sassagoula River, the river that connects Port Orleans Riverside to DownTown Disney. I rented a motor boat at Downtown Disney and drove it up to POR, and I passed a fishing boat. It had "Sassagoula Fishing Expeditions" on it, or something similar. They were docked where the old Disney Institute Treehouses are, as there is still a small dock there. Looked like a father and his two sons happily fishing from the boat. Must say, looked like fun! Must be a pretty neat thing to do!

Gave my DH this on the 11th of December for an early Christmas present. They left from the Yacht Club and it was my DH and my DD12. Gone approximately 3 hours and fished in the World Showcase lagoon and around MGM. They had a great time, great pictures, and my DD12 caught at least 8 fish. Well worth the money, IMO.

My DH and my Dad did this last year from Ft. Wilderness and two weeks ago DH and our 5 year old DS went out from the Grand Floridian. It is not cheap ($235 for a 2 hour trip) but they loved it. Both times they have had Dave as their fishing guide. DH **HIGHLY** recommends him. Both times they've come in and in chatting with other fishermen/women found that they caught more than the other guests. DH is certain it is b/c of Dave's expertise. He also takes photos of them with his own camera and emails them out to them. Not something Disney asks him to do...something he does on his own. Last yead DH and DFather caught 60 fish in 2 hours. That is what prompted DH to want to bring DS...because it was easy to catch and because they'd have the guide to help as well. DH and DS went out on 12/6 and Dave told them they hadn't been biting as well that week but they still caught around 30 fish total. DS had the biggest fish of the morning and was SO proud of himself...

DH highly recommends it! If you are going in the MK area, be sure to ask for Dave and tell him we said hi!
