I don't think so, but I figured if anyone could come up with a way, it would be someone from these boards. Here's the problem:
We have annual passes which expire on July 1. Usually we head to Disney at the end of July and renew then. This year, I'd love to do it differently due to the exchange rate. I'd like to purchase some 7-day tickets from the Disney Store, then upgrade to an AP renewal. I figure this would save me about $60 per AP. My problem is this: we won't be arriving this year until around August 9, which is a week past the 30-day buffer for renewing an AP. I know that I would need to use the 7-day tickets at least once to lock in the gate price, then upgrade.
By my calculations, I'd save maybe $7 per AP if I have to upgrade to a NEW AP, so to me it's just not worth the aggravation.
Does anyone have a way around this so that I'd be able to use the 7-day tickets toward an AP renewal?
TIA
